if your a/c cools the room adequately then your grow tent should be cool enough without a cooltube or air cooled hood. however, with a cooltube of air cooled hood you can lower the light to within 6" of the plants, greatly increasing the efficiency of the lights.
leave the leaves. as long as the leaves are healthy they are producing energy for the plant to grow.
another tip - elevate the young ones on something so that their tops are equal to the larger plants, then lower the light as low as you can without burning your hand (kept at plant height)...
you post pics by pressing reply and then going to the bottom of the page and choosing advanced options. attachments is one of the options.
aluminum foil is a big no no - it creates hot spots on leaves resulting in burning. mylar or white paint is the way to go.
you could really use more...
the seed bank estimates are always too short. part of that is because some count from the start of actual flowering, not the start of 12/12 which adds another two weeks.
you'll be close to harvest when half of the white pistils have changed color and the trichomes are turning amber.
hey rucon, common mistake. you check air temperature at the top of the plant but with the thermometer shielded from direct light. you check radiant heat from the bulb by putting your hand at the top of the plants and lowering the light as low as you can go without burning your hand.
1. pot size - 1 gallon of pot size for each foot you want the plant to grow
2. veg time - if you're counting from seed you'll get a bigger plant with 8 weeks veg
3. genetics - some plants are just small
the partition is not sufficient. pot pollen is airborne, get transfered to and from clothes easily, etc. but from your pics you still have a little time for them to clearly show their sex. chop and destroy when you're sure.
the plant starts to die the moment you switch to 12/12. a little yellowing early in flowering is normal and will progress to all yellow by the time to harvest. some people swear by the practice of adding a nitrogen only nute x-0-0 to their blooming nute to help the leaves stay green. not sure...
way too young for nutes. a couple of weeks more of no nute. your soil looks like straight dirt?? if so, plant roots will not get enough oxygen. should think about repotting with 1/3 perlite mix.
the plants look great. it's a good idea to set up your 600 watt light and run it for 24 hours before putting your plants under it to make sure you've got the electricity and ventilation down pat.
