But arnt the kessil lights fairly inneffective too high? I mean the h150 is a maximum reccomended 18" and the h350 24". I dont see them being much use higher than that.
The best advice was given above. You have three weeks at least. Wait for calyxes to swell and pistils to receed back into them. When tops FULLY mature it is ok to chop them. The lower parts, or popcorn buds can be left on the plant and watered an additional week or more to fully ripen. You are...
I prefer a mix of happy frog or ocean forest mixed with 30-40 percent perlite. Stay away from the vermiculite....it holds too much water. You want things to dry up.
Looking at some 7" cloning domes, some come with a heat mat. Does the steady warmth of a heat mat aid in faster clone root development? I know heat is a plus for germination. I imagine it would keep the humidity up as well. Your thoughts?
A wealth of info! Thank you all. I am looking to simply cut clones and put them straight into solo cups with a mix of seed starter soil and perlite. From what you all seem to be saying they will root fine. I do have some heat mats that I use for germinating. Will heat mats aid in faster root...
I say relax and just continue the feeding of bloom nutrients, then plain water only. Flowering is slow in the first couple of weeks. Things will progress more rapidly as you get into your 3rd and 4th weeks. No need for extra products or over feeding.
Ok I have never taken clones. I want to do this as cheaply as possible. I have watched a video or two on the technique. I just wanted to get the bare minimum supplies, the to get some healthy clones going. Here are my questions. Do I need plugs, or rockwool cubes, to start clones in. I am...
I tried to save a buck with regular seeds and nursed a lovely male blueberry plant for over a month, only to send it to the trash bin! Never again, spend a few extra bucks on femized, lol.
I have to admit I have never lost a plant or burnt anything in ocean forest or happy frog. They also support green healthy plants four weeks easily, with no nutrients. However all the extra fillers, and bark, lead me to believe they are thinning down this rich soil. I will be trying roots and a...
After buying ocean forest and fox farm....heres my observation. I like happy frog better! We all know its less hot, but I really havent had anything burn in ocean forest. I just dont like all the wood chips in the ocean forest. Each bag I get has more and more bark chips in it. Im paying for...
No problem. I know what its like to br shakin in your boots cause people can smell your crop! A 4" carbon fan filter combo cost $120.00. Even a single plant grow, is all it takes to smell. I can start to smell a plant at about 3 weeks of vegging, let alone late into flowering.
I grow with LED but am far from handy enough to want to try constructing a panel. I personally use Kessil Led's and am pleased with the performance and quality of harvest, for small scale growing. The miniscule energy bills far outweigh the costs. HID still cant be beat for yield and larger...
Yes a 4" carbon filter and inline fan combo. I bought this one.

You can also get some 4" ducting and 4" clamps too. Later a fan speed controller ($20) will quiet it down if you need it.
