So this is my first grow, I was nervous to start a journal because I was afraid of broadcasting my failure, but I'm a month in with a few problems, but nothing catastrophic... yet. I did a fair amount of research before starting up. But I have always been more of a hands-on learner. This grow...
first grow
fox farm ocean forest
fox farm trio
gorilla girl
grow tent 3x3
hid growlights
holes in leaves
jack 47
nitrogen deficiency or nutrient excess
northern lights
I'm super afraid of failure lol so I was nervous about starting a journal. But it would probably help for sure. I'm only a month in, so still have a bit to go.
Yea, this was a bit ambitious lol. I'm taking daily notes on all 3 so hopefully I will gain some insight on how to better deal with them in the future. I am actually really fascinated by that though. They are just like children with their own personalities and such.
Ok so it was overthinking/mistake to add nutes after fim then for sure. I also put them in this soil pretty early on rather than using unamended soil so that could play into the extra N.
Lol ok, I did read that veg plants are surprisingly resilient. You mentioned N excess at first. Might it be worth flushing them? Though I heard that can sometimes cause more stress
Night temps are usually around 74-76. At the very lowest it gets to 72. Around the beginning of their life they hung around day temps of 85 or higher until I fixed the ventilation and I now have day temps between 79-82.5
Hmm overwatering lol damn, I wonder why that one would be affected and not the two smaller plants I'm watering the same amount. Maybe its a strain thing, such a crazy learning experience here
This seems like a tough one. I have 3 plants that I'm treating all mostly the same. My Northern Lights, which so far has been the most sturdy of the bunch, thriving through all of my mistakes, is currently struggling a bit. 11 days ago I fimmed both the Northern lights and the Jack 47 (back left...
@JoeBlow5823 Wow ok so I definitely gave them nutes wayy too early. Good to know I'll write that down for next time. Hopefully they do alright if I just give them regular 6.5 ph water from here on out, or at least until they are ready for the nutes.
@dbz Yea I got the Fox Farm Trio, figuring if it was made by same company they would have their nutes in order with their soil nicely. But ok so no nutes for a week or two more then. Probably a dumb question but I couldnt find anything online to indicate "plants have entered veg." Is there a big...
@JoeBlow5823 Hmm ok so I am definitely overwatering, I guess the other two are just more resilient. Also I read that they should get half the recommended nutrients. I guess that is just when veg stage starts... Is there a good visual indicator that veg has officially begun?
@BobThe420Builder Makes sense, thanks!
@dbz Ah ok, I did water a bit more because my tent was a bit hotter than recommended temps and moisture was pretty low, so I figured the heat was drying them up quicker. But you may be right. Just wondering why the other two seem fine with the same amount...
I have 3 plants. Possible overcrowding. So if this plant is donezo I can accept that and pursue the other two more vigilantly. I'm not really sure what this could be, I have treated this plant the exact same as the other two. I realize its small plant in big pot but its too late for that so I...
