MJ can handle freezing marks (especially if covered) no problem as long as the days are relatively warm (10-15C) even less. once the days get cold (5C or less) consistently is when you have a problem. There are plenty of decent fall days left in the north, without a doubt. Let em grow!

Yeah you gotta cover them to extend your growing season some. I’m well north of Toronto but I have a hoop house over mine. Everything from Home Depot and scrap wood I had lying around. I don’t have to worry about rain, wind, or frost( for another month hopefully) ... always a fight with humidity...
