Those are some nice buds oldmerchant :D I wouldnt get a 150w hps, cfl are actually more effecient than hps until you get to about 350-400w, if you had like 200w of cfl it would produce less heat than an hps and produce less heat, just my 2 cents.

I completly agree, 16x 27w = 432w, I know the cfl's will produce alot less heat but a 27w produces about 1800 lumens is a total of 28800 lumens, whereas a 400w hps would produces 50000 lumens. I would half the amount of cfls to veg and flower under hps.

Thanks poptcorn, I wasnt sure where to hang the thermo but then I realised its probably better to check the temps at the top and bottom as it may be fine at the bottom but burning the canopy.

Not loud at all, its in my room and my actual pc is louder than the grow case. I have no idea on the temps, its a super budget grow, if I find a thermo then I'll get since I'll need one for my next grow.
