i heard incandescents are useless

Thanks..got a small fan so my 2 seedlings are constantly swaying slightly which should strengthen the stems and roots..added 2 holes in the top of my grow box so heat can escape out the top..picked up a powerstrip and some y adaptors for a better lighting setup..and added an ott light 17 w 950...

from what i've heard... NO ... CFL's should be inches from the plants and you should cut down your grow space as much as possible because it goes by lumens per sq foot... not cubed feet because the lgihts should be directly above them.. I have a 42 + 2 26's soft white and one 17 ott light that...

The Space: I have about a 2 foot area with 2 plants - completely surrounded by white walls and white posterboard - I have no fans but vent holes so air can get in/out. runs 75-85 f. havent checked humidity. The Lights: I have 2 26 w cfl's and one 42 w cfl for a total of about 6000 lumens...
