I doubt I have fruit flies, but that is what it looks like buzzing around my soil. My plant is not even poked through the soil yet, so not too worried about the plant. I bought a new kind of soil this time. It is Scots organic. All of a sudden, after week, I see all these little gnats flying...

Enough space, good soil, water correctly, and you got a plant. It is a weed. A lot of guys will give you the "perfect setup" as if there is no other way. I have a closet and a pot of soil. I germinate, plant, keep watered and light. That's it, and I get some nice stuff.

Cool, thanks all. I have been to all the Home Depots in my area and can only get Scots and Miracle grow. I guess I need to expand my search, or make sure I really flush the soil if I reuse.

The only soil I can easily get is either Scots with nutrients added or Miracle Grow. I have used both, and both seem to burn my plants. (small indoor grow, one plant). Miracle Grow is def worse, but the Scots burned my leafs too. I assume it is the added nutrients. Anyway, this time I re-used...

Oh, another bonus I notice. Plants not so big, so not much odor. At the height of budding, def an odor. But very minimal. Very nice.

No doubt. This is all for personal use, so I am good with what I get. Plus, easy to just harvest, germinate, plant, harvest, germinate, plant. Repeat as necessary.
