    My 150W Vero29 tent.

Just fo an insight... Kush will stink your house out. Make sure your carbon filter works well, particularly when you get closer to flower and through flower. And when I say stink I mean stink!

    Harvest a week early

Also take a Coke bottle.. Plastic or a milk bottle etc and poke a tiny hole in it and the lid. The bottle will slowly leak and keep the soil moist. Be sure to do this as a test otherwise you might dump too much water on day one or two and then run out of water too early.

    dimmable driver

Voltage draw is what the cobs need to basically light up. 1400mA is how much current runs through the cob and determines its brightness. A dimmer controls the current (brightness) not the forward voltage. It's essentially a fixed requirement (can adjust up and down slightly but for our purposes...

CXA vs CXB, 3070 vs 3590, CXB vs Vero

CXB are the newer versions of the CXA. They put out more "light" more efficiently. The trade off is they may cost a little more (but relatively insignificant) you'll also find CXA is lower supply. So just focus on the CXB. The numbers - 3590, 3070, 2530 are the size of the cob from largest to...

    modifying the GalaxyHydro 300

http://pct.cree.com/dt/index.html Just to close off my input. You can check outputs etc on here for the cree stuff. I like the idea of the Vero18's.. might see what I can track them down for as I am going to rebuild the galaxyhydro frankenstien

    modifying the GalaxyHydro 300

No one is saying don't run the 72v 3590, in fact they should be super efficient at 500mA. I think most people are saying that the small. Increases don't outweigh the upfront costs. I was going to run 72v 3590 on my galaxy hydro drivers but they are about 80-90 each where I live and id need 3...

    modifying the GalaxyHydro 300

Mateeeee I run 6x CXB2530 on three of those drivers. Plenty bright, in fact if you stare at them too long you'll see stars for an hour. Pretty sure a large portion of guys in here run their DIY kits under 1000mA that's how you achieve efficiency. In fact realstyles I think has a 700mA set up...

    Repairing/upgrading LED

Looking at the pic, easy to diagnose, overheated. Fans and or thermal connection not great. Do they run constant 42v? can you see what mA they run at? Too much current and too hot. If your going to reuse the drivers, give thought to wiring in parallel so you can spread the amps across mor cobs.

    Newb LED ?'s

Also typical rule of thumb... 30-50w per square foot. 5x5 is 25 squares... In otherwords 750 to 1250 watts...it will be brighter than the sun in the tent make sure you lather on the sun screen and have your sunglasses !!!

    Newb LED ?'s

As no one has shown you any love I guess I can. 5x5 is a pretty big tent for a single light source. More than likely you'll need two p300's. The issue that you'll have here for information is that most of this board is focused on DIY. We will say that for your price range look into Tasty Led...

    Possible CXB3590 Conversion

It was my first attempt at diy. Just use the way they have already wired up the led panel (snip wires for the panel connection) and then put two cobs in series.. Negative from the driver into negative of the cob... Then wire from the positive of the cob to the negative of the next cob and then...

    Possible CXB3590 Conversion

Before opening it will have 2x drivers somewhere around 55/60 to 85/90v @ 570ma. You can run 2x 3070/3590 veros etc on each driver. You won't use all the voltage so it will be a little inefficient in that regard but you can use all the parts to run cobs (I know cause I've got the square 140w...

What's an ideal flowering cob set up for 2 feet by 2 feet grow space?

I'm using 8-10 CXB2530 @ 700mA. In Aus they cost about $13.95 a piece or about $9 US. Couldn't have built it cheaper. Would have preferred 3070 or 3590 but at $50aud or $80-90 for the 3590 it's hard to justify. Are they really going to be 300% or 500/600% better?

    Taking cuttings in flower?

Wow ok that looks awesome. I've got 4-5 weeks left of the current cycle so I'll give it a try this weekend and hopefully have them rooted for a short scrog veg and right back into flower again

Help with Some CXB2530 Calcs - Efficiency and do I have enough Omphh?

Hi there, Just wondering if some who are better versed at the math than I am (not sure what I need to know) Trying to work out what efficiency and make sure I have enough light to grow properly. Running 2 x ELG-100-C700A (cause I'm not limited to 110VAC). Running 4 x CXB2530 T2's on each...

    DIY LED first time question.

You could also potentially Frankenstein it... Use parts and upgrade but you'd need to open and show us what's inside and be capable of a little diy
