Max current is 3.9A, and I'm splitting that between 3 cobs, so 1.3A per. Should come out to just about 50w. You're right, it's not the ideal driver, but I wanted the flexibility of the extra voltage, and I was cut a deal because of the volume

The next page would suggest I can use it to either drive in constant current or constant voltage. The only thing I can think is that I have a new generation of the drivers? Edit: an important note, if I'm wrong I definitely want to know. I'm not trying to argue, I'm trying to make sure I have...

By running multiple cobs in parallel I should avoid that because the drivers will be switching to limit current. If that's wrong, I can put the small leds in series to get the voltage I need. I have run the cobs about an hour now though Edit: spec sheet shows constant current operation from...

OK so there is an efficiency that is tagged in there. I'll look at that link, thanks. Edit: huge thanks for the link. My calculus is rusty at best, but I got the gist of spectral power distribution and how to get micromoles per joule out. So, it's 4.81 micromoles per joule, but that's in terms...

3600 × 4.81/ 6.5m2 = 2660 ppfd. Damn. If I go to 10×10, that's basically 9m2, and I get 1925 ppfd. Going to the size of the entire room in working with... 13.25m2 I get to a more reasonable 1300 ppfd. Guess I have some building to do

That would put an 8x8 space with these lights at 3200ppfd if my coffee is working. That seems insane

Yeah sounds like that should be my plan

Let's test that theory. 3600w×2.67/3m2= 3200 ppfd. This is also 112 w/m2, which is about double the max recommended. Half of that density, 1600 ppfd, is high but functional. I can't see 4.8 being accurate without a missing multiplier of 0.5 or so.

I haven't found that number yet, I'll update when I do.

Well, I'm mistaken, as was pointed out in another thread, and I forgot the µmol/j multiplier. I have to rethink my grow space into something about twice the size. For anyone reading this and sizing their grow: Watts*QER/m2=PPFD. QER being in the units of µmol/j. leaving out this multiplier...

    1000w Citizen CLU048 1212 Garden

Maybe I'm missing something, but at ~50% efficiency, and 3 square meters, I don't know what... Edit: :wall: left out the multiplier for umol/j... shit.

    1000w Citizen CLU048 1212 Garden

So, that's not great, but not terrible either, but I have to ask, are you spreading 1000w of CLU's over a whole 4x8 tent? cause that'd be like 165ppfd... and I wouldn't be surprised to see mediocre yields and buds out of that. I mean, I'm shooting for 3600w in a 4x8 space in a 5x10 tent. just my...

Is a 1/2 Pound per Light Considered a Good Yield?

in my second hand experience, the goal was always 1lb (455g) per 1k hps. that was the threshold for "good". I know two guys who did a couple of grows at ~0.8g/w or ~28 oz/ 1000w HPS, but everything was dialed in. From what I've seen, I would call 1g/w the asymptote for HPS growing.

Hey dudes, thought I'd share what I'm doing as I promised... in the middle of a build, ladies show up in two days. pics show where I am now. est 650 ppfd, planning cyclical CO2, AC @ 80F, and Grand daddy Purp for the first round. Running 70 CLU-048-1212 80 CRI 3500K, total wattage...

First scrogg, opinions? Very last minute.

last time I was growing I had a kind of paranoia about bending the stems too far. I liked to run a tighter mesh and bend everything as gently down as I could. I have no idea if this paranoia was warranted, and I'd really like to hear from more experienced growers on the topic.

    Maxx PPFD ?

What latitude? day of the year? weather? Was the moon out? Humidity? Elevation? I could go on, but hopefully my point is made.
