Yes, the watering is the issue as mentioned. Much easier to over do in larger pots. However you will find yourself watering much more often in smaller. Several times a day sometimes as they grow.

You can get these little humidifiers real cheaply and a couple may help. I'm not sure what they're called, people put them in their kids rooms and the like to help with breathing if the air real dry. I have a couple in my tent and they're ok for a small area. Cost me bout 20 bucks. Put out...
