I've been reading an interesting Dutch article on our favourite botanics. I'm most intrigued by the scientific appraisal which challenges the conventional view that Indica dominant strains = couch lock and generally more sedating vs Sativa = more creative and stimulating effect...

So I had the two plants in the indoor/outdoor room the large one started mid October and commenced flowering in Jan. It seemed to be a slow flowerer. Trichomes weren't really evident until second half of flower and then they piled them on in final 3-4 weeks. With rain and almost continuous...

The wet and humid weather is back to the Northern Rivers region of NSW and forecast to last all week. Today I chalked up a minor victory, my wife has permitted me to shove my girl into our inside/outside screen room to save her from yet another drenching. I reckon she's only a few weeks off and...

I can relate to this, in our location in NE NSW, I've tipped out around 400mm from the rain gauge in a dozen days. Humidity constantly 70-90% by day. On Tuesday I noticed a mouldy bud on a lower branch, it was the filamentous type of mould. I nipped the bud off and binned it. Touch wood, I...

Just bagseed m8 - the two plants look quite different, but seed is from same bag. Just goes to show that if the seed is from a stressed hermied hybrid, as it likely was, the offspring can be quite different. What I do know is they were raised in this region, I bought direct from the grower.

This miserable looking thing is a re-veg. Seed germinated too early in Aug, then in flower by October. Even so I pulled 37g of dry from it. I reckon it's got a fair bit of sativa in it - look at the gaps between leaf nodes. It gives a good buzz, instead of falling asleep after an hour or two...

Up here in Northern NSW we've had horrendous weather for a week, heavy outbursts each day. we've racked up 200mm this week and humidity by day consistently 70-90% at possibly the worst time for my main girl. She's not got much in the way of trichomes either, but I do notice more each few days.

Just a wee question for the learned here. My girl is pre-flowering with pistils at every leaf node, even at the growing tips. We're currently getting slightly less than 14/10 now in these parts. On the 21/12 solstice it was 5 mins more than 14/10. I happened to be chatting - as one does and was...

So it got some wood ash for calcium and a couple of doses of Epsom salts for sulphur - both help with magnesium. Thanks reza92 for your accurate diagnosis. The girl is looking tip-top to my amateur eyes and she's clearly in pre-flower. The days are 14/10 of which she gets 7 hours direct sun...

    1. Very probably, the rainwater is quite acidic and I started to give a little thrive as I felt the plant now .75m high and 1m wide is exhausting the nutes in the 25l container of home-made compost. Could be time for a wood ash drink. 2. I think you may be right on the money - underwatering...

I trust y'all having a great christmas thus far. Just a little issue with my girl today. I went to water her as it's due. It's a cloudy day and 26c. I noticed two things. Any ideas? 1. Some leaf yellowing on some of the growing tips 2. Some of the tips leaning over. Which I hope is a need...

Bagseed guy here, I trust you're all happy and well :) Okay I germinated three of the dozen seeds I'd found in the bought ounce. I didn't have a clue about photoperiod, i just assumed cannabis the plants had a life as an annual - vegged, flowered, seed & die. So I sprouted them in July here in...

Funnily, the image was taken with a Sony compact & 30x zoom lens. I tend not to zoom out fully as being a photographic type, I learned early on that zoom lenses are often at their best at half way. By cropping the image you often get better clarity than you would have had with the zoom extended...

First time amateur here. So what is the view of the more seasoned growers? There doesn't look to be very many trichomes to me, but they do look cloudy. I'm looking for 10-30% bronze trichomes I think for a balanced high. So how many more weeks?
