One of the best sources of calcium ( with over 50 mico- nutrients including silica and organic matter) are crushed oyster shells. The natural life in QUALITY Organic compost aides in CO2 production.

It should not have bark. It's classification is semi hard plant. Things that are wood survive the winters, and that's no guarantee. ✌️

My bad. Roots have alot of humus ( organic ) and some eats ! Why get them out ?

Safest way I've done Auto flowers, is to completely submerge the container and plant. I use a water pump to coarsely rinse roots.. A complete flush and a sucesful transplant.
