    anything water soluble or made water soluble acts quickly..not slow what would do him good is calcium for a calcium problem..when crushed down to pulp or powder it acts just as fast as dolomite lime etc..wich is also a powder that can be made water soluble.

    will you be using the T5 to flower? if so..switch 3/4 of your bulbs out with 3000k or 2700k spectrum, leave a few 6500k in there for sup spectrum

    24/7 or 18/6 is fine for veg.. mj counts night hours not day hours anyway. as long as you have less than 12 hours of darkeness (ie 18/6) etc.. your fine in veg, the plant will not flower on ya. i myself run 18/6 and for good reason..saves power, and bulb life and gets almost the same growth...

    if you cant get the cal-mag soon..wich is the fastest working best option..get some oyster shells or sea shells..wash em..grab a hammer and crush that stuff as fine as you can..toss it in a gal jug of water and shake like crazy..this will break down some calcium right away making it water...
