FOXFARM Vs. HOUSE AND GARDEN: what is better?

Last summer, I used Van de Zwaan House and Garden and had an amazing grow. I was convinced that Foxfarm was the way to go, but Van de Zwaan was marked at half price. At another store, I was actually told that Foxfarm is only a little better than miracle grow, and the reason it's so popular is...

    T5 Grow Light any good?

i think T5 sounds like a mad good idea, for early veg growth at least. I think switching halfway through for better growth is also a good idea. I think i'll stick to my halide for now, maybe hook up a good cooling system. T5 sounds good for really compact short growth towards the beginning...

    I use a de-humidifyer

hah, by crackle, I mean being able to bend the stem 90 degrees and get it to snap, or at least crunch. That's personally how i've been telling that its' dry enough. It seems to work for my customers, they love it.

    The T5 thread

Well the issue is twofold. I have a difficulty in regulating heat. It gets too hot under the metal halide. The power usage is also pretty hefty. I'd love to get a cooltube, but to be honest, that's just another fan running on power. I'm turning off my flower-tent next week (harvest :-D). Right...

    I use a de-humidifyer

that's interesting. The real reason i used a de-humidifyer was thew ridiculous humidity that we had this past summer (new england). I tried drying in an attic with a high-powered fan, but it just wouldn't give me that crackle that I wanted. It's interesting that you mention that it gives it a...

    All your buds like rocks!!!

resin producing nutes only work well will the right strain. almost 90% of the time, theyre so powerful in nutrients and minerals that your shit will fry, or the plants simply won't react because of a block. If I were you, i'd try H & G Van de Zwaan shooting powder. This stuff makes your...

    I use a de-humidifyer

Anyone use a de-humidifyer for your plants drying? I place my plants in a 12 by 15 room, 8 foot ceiling, and I set my de-humidifyer on max dry, and it dries them in 3 days time, no problem. Any risks? I've noticed that they can become too dry if not monitored carefully

    Rice dry?

Rice does sound like it might work, but I always stick to conventional methods. One way (kind of extreme) is to get a de-humidfyer in the smallest room of the house that you got (10 X 10 space works fine) and setting it on max dry setting. You have to monitor the shit out of it though. MY buds...

    T5 Grow Light any good?

thanks for all the input. I see why switching to a metal halide after a while is a good idea, just because the plants need that extra boost. The reason im thinking of T5 is because of my heat issue though. Really it's either invest more $ on a good ventilation and air flow system, or getting T5...

    The T5 thread

I'd like to see pics of setups, yields, and any overall comments and advice about T5 bulbs. I'm working with HPS and Metal halide and it's worked great. It's just too hot. It's either 200 dollars for a cooltube, or 200 dollars for a good T5 setup. Convince me.

What are the best T5 bulds

3000k is good for flower, that nice reddish light. The blueish light, more around 6500k is great for veg. Do a mix of the two lights for all around growth

    T5 Grow Light any good?

I have a metal halide for veg growth, and it's definitely doing the trick, but it's simply too hot and too expensive. Anybody know about T5 grow lights and how they work in comparison? Good or bad?

Well damn... Think I got a hermy... Will it polinate my whole crop?

I ran into this exact problem last harvest, except nearly 90% of my plants were hermies... I think it was a mix of light stress and bagseed tendancies. If you think you'll get enough out of her now, i'd harvest only her. If you don't see any other hermies, i would just get rid of her (him?). You...

Clone on the verge of death, please help

slim chance man. Cloning powder, or root mix, or clonex, or whatever u wanna call it, is actually just a bunch of hormones. If you cloned her once, especially recently, you'll have trouble cloning her again. The clones already know the hormone too well, almost like theyre getting used to it or...
