FOXFARM Vs. HOUSE AND GARDEN: what is better?

Last summer, I used Van de Zwaan House and Garden and had an amazing grow. I was convinced that Foxfarm was the way to go, but Van de Zwaan was marked at half price. At another store, I was actually told that Foxfarm is only a little better than miracle grow, and the reason it's so popular is because of how much money they sink into advertising.

Any ideas?

miracle is the worst for mary. harsh chems that these plants dont like. when looking for soil you dont wanna go cheap. and when your looking you dont always have to go with the brand that everyone loves. (although everyone may love it for a reason). do your research so you know exaclty what is in it and then you will know which is best for your plant. personally i use fox farm products because there soil is very rich and the plants love it, also the nutes keep your plants happy for weeks so you save money on ferts

I've experimented with LOTS of nutes. The only brand I'll use anymore for growing in soil indoors is Fox Farm. It has consistently given me the best overall results. Now for hydro or outdoors, I'm not so sure. When I used to mess with outdoor growing, I kind of liked Peters or Botanicare (but I hadn't tried FF yet at the time). And whoever told you that FF is only marginally better than Miracle Gro is either a bold-faced liar trying to sell you something else, or a complete idiot who has never even actually used either one in all likelihood. As to the H-G, it's not bad, but my results have consistently been best with FF, so that's what I stick to, even if it does cost a bit more --- it's worth the extra amount IMHO.

I tried FF and only experienced so-so results. From my experience, Big Bloom is their best product and i always have a bottle on hand. Like many others, I was convinced by another grower to try Advanced Nutes and frankly i have never turned back. Yes, I think its expensive, but I can't find anything that equals the results, (yes i tried Dynagro). Unfortunately I've turned into one of those AN fanboys, at least for now!
