Looking to boost yield and moving away from lucas formula.

@Dr. Who I think I will give KIND a go once I run out of GH nutes then. Any reason why you suggest KIND over their other ranges?

Looking to boost yield and moving away from lucas formula.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy with work and shit. I'm running 2 315s in a 4x4, four plants scrogged, getting decent yields (18-20oz) but I know I can get more out of there! Light isn't the issue, so the only thing I can think to improve is food. Plant wise, I throw in 4 different beans...

Looking to boost yield and moving away from lucas formula.

I've been using the lucas formula for some time now in dwc buckets and I'm looking to step up my nutrient game. Don't get me wrong I've had great results from lucas formula but I'd like to improve on it, has anyone had experience going from lucas to something different or adding something new...

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

All good in the hood! I found some thermal tape at a local computer shop, spent the last couple of hours putting it all together, now I've got a nice bright, low power veg light! :bigjoint: Say hello to the girls - pineapple express #2, purps #1, franco's lemon cheese, and LSD seedlings. Also...

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

Right, I've got my strips, I've got my driver, I've made a frame of aluminium box section. Now, how do I stick the strips to the aluminium? I was going to drill holes and screw them down, but I don't think that'll work, I'll definitely fuck that up like whenever I try to drill holes for a...

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

Correct, I don't need 315w of light for vegging 4 plants, the first couple of weeks from seed I'll have the light dimmed right down, then crank it up to ~150w from there.

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

I've never been sure of dimming HID lights, they are designed to run at a certain wattage, running them at a lower wattage changes the spectrum. I'd rather run a cmh at 315w or not at all. I'm looking to build an led light for veg only that will run at half the wattage of a cmh to save money on...

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

Cool, I've got some chunky aluminum box section that I'm planning to use for a frame so it'll heatsink like a boss!

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

So if I run them from an lrs 150-24 in parallel I'd be peachy? Would also like to be dimmable, do the lrs drivers have pots?

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

Which strips & which driver? What would 100-150w of led be comparable to HID wise?

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

Quantum boards are expensive also live in the UK, so shipping + taxes etc will make it even more pricey

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

Well not really, my two cmh lights live in the flower tent full time. I need an entire new light for the veg tent. My options are to either buy another cmh kit, or build an led. This thread is me trying to find a suitable led light.

Veg light for 2.5x2.5 tent help!

I want to build a light for a 2.5x2.5 tent for veg only, not flowering, just veg. I've read endless threads and keep coming up with different answers, some people say 100w is enough, others say 250w, even read 300w. So I need to put this to bed, I don't want to buy some piece of shit light and...

How many watts of Samsung lm561c strips for 80cmx80cm

I'm planning to use this light solely for veg, so I've been looking at 5000k. Is that the best colour, or would 4000k be better, or a mix of 4k & 5k? So many variables in this, its mind boggling! :eyesmoke:

How many watts of Samsung lm561c strips for 80cmx80cm

Height isn't a problem, got 2 metres to play with :blsmoke: After digging around and doing some sums it looks like I can build a decent light myself, I'm thinking of using 4x SI-B8R521560WW @4000k strips and running them parallel on a hlg 240h 48 dimmed down a bit, this will give me around 200w...
