New Room design-Need advice on lighting

None taken. We don't carry much in the way of LED because A, you can build your own. B, LED manufacturers have poor business models, hence the reason everything is overpriced. And C, until LED tech can support the "purple" spectrum we'll wait. Mongo, we have new LED manufacturers and old...

New Room design-Need advice on lighting

When considering LED lighting yields (or yields in general) you need to use the measurement of gram-per-watt. Some growers produce low numbers under HID lighting and switch to LED finding that they can yield the same (or more), but this is not an indication that LED lighting can out-yield HID...

    Phosphorus or CalMag Deficiency? (pics)

Hey weedz, are you able to test your pH and PPM in the runoff? What are your environmental readings? There is an array of nutritional issues here but so many factors could be contributing that it's hard to pinpoint from the pictures.

    Humidity issue at night.

That's a scary line to walk, those RH readings should be switched! A heater may help, obviously excessive air flow is key and in some scenarios removing fans leaves is an option. 190 pint = 23.75 gallons daily - but this is based on extreme conditions 80F+. Another trick to increasing the...

Chiqifella is correct! Keep topping! What I usually do is Top the plant anywhere I can see several limbs line up, this could sometimes be 3/4's of the plant! Starting early is key

MONSTER GARDENS - HERE TO HELP

Hey Dynamo! Thanks for the support! Dr. Watt works VERY hard to obtain that data in those videos, we're glad it's providing value to you and your customers. In regards to the 630w CMH, we don't have anything planned besides a thorough analysis of the Nanolux 1000w DE in the near future, but...

MONSTER GARDENS - HERE TO HELP

Lookin' good! The tech changes quickly, and there are a lot of opinions on what works best! Your temperature is within acceptable range, and though 60-70% humidity is best, you can get by with 50% by misting the plants daily while in veg, preferably before the lights come on leaving enough...

    630w cmh heat ?

Hey Cookie, I did reference DE's, you're right. However, the gas used in these lamps is all relevant (even though it varies) and heat is the primary driving force. Even if a reflector is built to remove radiant temperature, the chamber that the bulb is in will be cooler, thus the bulb will be...

Again, so many variables! I was only trying to explain the absolute most efficient path, but obviously, there are alternatives. Cheers!

    630w cmh heat ?

Definitely less of a negative impact, again it's all about the temperature that the bulbs reach. So blowing ambient temps of 70F across the bulb would be a better option than the 20F outside air. Cheers!

    630w cmh heat ?

Which is definitely more efficient than running across the bulb, but as someone whose personally operated AC/DE and Gavita rooms there was a variation in output when testing with the spectrometer.

    630w cmh heat ?

Those are great numbers Demon! Again, not implying that you're doing anything wrong, but the relationship between the lamp's gas and specified temperature is fact. However, there are so many variables that impact production, for example, if your environment, genetics, and nutrition are on...
