Here is an update. I missed the last update because I couldn't upload pics. The soil I had was really light on nutes. They had deficiencies, combined with a lot of rain, and high heat. I got some espoma, and water with blackstrap molasses. They are doing a lot better now. Just really stunted...

So the b versions of the hlg drivers go past their rated max also? I thought it was just the a version? I'm guessing to get above the rated max you need a 110kohm resistor, or a 100kohm resistor? Have you personally seen this or is it documented somewhere? Also is it random how much over max...

@Frank Nitty The V1's use the 54 CV driver. The V2's use the 48 CV driver. Until you get up to the 480h on V2's. On this driver you can use either the 48 or 54 with the V2's, but you might not be able to hit the 2.8mA or higher mark, given the 1v tolerance.

Please be more specific when telling people this. The voltage can only be adjusted on the a version of the drivers (eg hlg-185h-48a.) On the hlg-185h-48b or hlg-185-48 the voltage cannot be adjusted and it will run each board, strip, or cob harder until it reaches max. Risking thermal runaway...

It all depends on how hard you drive them. How hard did you drive them?

How hard were you driving each qb? If you run them really hard they will get pretty hot in a sealed environment. You could always add some more boards and run them softer depending on the drivers you have. Most people that have success with led report best results with temps around 82 degrees...
