Just Bought Some Rspec's... How to Decipher a Mean Well Spec Sheet?

Thanks Prawn. I think I have a better grasp since your answers. So in a nutshell, selecting a driver is kind of like the price is right. The closest without going over.... Well that is the ideal scenario to get the best bang for the buck and efficiency. On the flip side I guess a driver sized as...

Just Bought Some Rspec's... How to Decipher a Mean Well Spec Sheet?

Thanks but I don't want to run that much wattage or that intensity and I want to spread out the light a little more. I've gone for 4 pairs and I'll run either 3 or 4 pairs in my space depending on what I land on driver wise. As an example on that page, it suggests a 240H for 4 boards @ 1050 mA...

Just Bought Some Rspec's... How to Decipher a Mean Well Spec Sheet?

Just pulled the trigger on some QB Rspec's. Getting several of the combos that have two boards and the double slate heat sink. Never built a light and still just not getting it on the drivers. If I go to the site HLG links to, this one for example...

    Quantum R-Spec Boards?

OMG!!! I came this >< closing to buying the old ones last night and then got hung up on finding more out about the Sabre before I bought. But I really wanted to load up on some R-Spec Quantum boards. I'm excited now :). I can't find them on the site. Not under the catalog > quantum boards. Will...

    Quantum R-Spec Boards?

So is HLG going to come out with the Quantum R-Spec boards? The V2 550 is over kill and incorrectly sized for m space but I'd love to be able to build out a system with the new R-Spec boards. Any word on if / when they might be available individually? Along those lines, is the Sabre 100...

    Smell outside your house

I haven't had enough "liked" posts to be able post a link yet. Mine was a corona discharge one and was pretty powerful. I ran my exhaust from my lights which was two 4" ducts into a large storage tote ( had cut holes to mount and seal the elbow pieces I used ) and then out into a 6 inch duct...

Driver Selection and Should I Bother with a Lens?

    Smell outside your house

One thing you could try is to use an ozone generator. I used to vent into and out of a storage tote that had an ozone generator in it. Worked like a champ.

    Driver Selection Help

I do like the 4 foot strips considering my dimensions. Do you have a recommendation on a heat sink? Part of what I liked about the Rapid LED setup was the uniformity of the coverage and being able to position the lights. Seems like I could do the same or better with strips but I don't know how...

    Driver Selection Help

I can't post a link....But if you google these you will hit Digi-Key's site. So you are suggesting something like either of these? 3500K: SI-B8UZ91B20WW 3500K: SI-B8U521B20WW

    Driver Selection Help

OK so if it is between an HLG-320 @ 1050 mA or an HLG-480 @ 1400 mA you'd say the 480? Actually probably save some energy by running 2 HLG-185 1400's wouldn't I? According to Rapid LED's site I can only do 3 COB''s off of an HLG-240 1750 mA. According to the "COB LED Constant Current Driver...

    Driver Selection Help

Thanks. I don't know enough about them. Will have to do some reading. I guess that is what the HLG 550 v2 runs? The Samsung LM301B is what you are talking about?

    Driver Selection Help

I posted this under the design and setup forum. Didn't realize this subforum was here. Have tried to delete the other to move it here but don't see how to. Don't ban me for asking the same question in two places please... Hey guys, lighting question and hoping for a "math based" answer...

Driver Selection and Should I Bother with a Lens?

Hey guys, lighting question and hoping for a "math based" answer basically. Some background you can skip if you want :). Have about 9 or 10 years with MH/HPS. Moved in 2012 and was limited in space and no good way to vent heat so I made the jump to LED. Tried that for about 6 years but only...

Dude.... I had run across a zipper on Amazon and was impressed with myself. That first link is the shit. It is very nearly the perfect size as well. Thank you!

Help / Input for Tent Covering

Thank you for the link to the site ( I haven't posted enough to quote a post with a link.... ) . I am book marking that! The "ripstop reflective blackout" looks very interesting. Never sewed in my life but I do have access to a pretty decent sewing machine and it would be worth a shot.

Help / Input for Tent Covering

Thanks for the suggestions on plywood and cardboard. I thought about plywood for the door and just leaning it up against the frame or secure it somehow. Didn't think of cardboard but I do still have the box my 60" TV came in and it is exactly 60 inches so one side of the box or both sides...

Help / Input for Tent Covering

Hey Guys, New here but been around a while. Ran across this site from watching some of Growmau's videos. Due to my setup, my dimensions are 30" x 60" x 86". It is a pair of 30" x 60" wire shelves using 86" poles. I'd rather not get into why it has to be those specific dimensions but for this...
