1st time grow. Barney's Farms' LSD. Started thread on flowering day 67. Comments welcome.

Flowering day 72 (10 weeks and 2 days): Watered and added nutes. Looked under a magnifier. No amber trichomes on buds. I think I'm going to harvest when there is around 20% of amber trichomes on the buds. Probably going to be another month or something.

How can you tell when the soil is dry enough to water again?

A fountain of knowledge here! Thanks for the help, everyone!

Very slow root growth of 14-day old seedling (indoor soil)

My 22-day old plant shows signs of stress because I let the pot dry out too much. :| The soil was so dry that it no longer stuck to the bottom of the pot. Bone dry from top to bottom. At least I recorded the weights so I know what to do next time. I watered using a 200ml container...

    Overwatering?

Your seedling looks like it might be recovering, so whatever you are doing is working and I would just leave it alone for now. Just try not to overwater it.

    Overwatering?

Oops, I meant the ambient temperature inside the closet, not the room its in. When I had this problem, the ambient temperature in my room was 70, but the ambient temperature inside my grow tent was high 90s. To handle the nute burn issue, I can't think of anything other than to flush the pot.

    Many thanks for your advice!

    Overwatering?

Putting a fan inside doesn't lower the ambient temperature, it just evens it out. You need to have an extractor fan to pull the hot air out and draw cooler air in.

How can you tell when the soil is dry enough to water again?

That's the issue: how dry should the soil be? Straight out of the bag dry (some moisture) or almost bone dry (like dust)?

    Overwatering?

It's probably hot soil, or hot temperatures, or both. High 90s is too hot for the plant. Watering at that temp will cause the seedling to drink more and FFOF is slightly too hot for a seedling that young. You end up with a combination of heat stress and nute burn. You need to lower your temps to...

How can you tell when the soil is dry enough to water again?

The most accurate way is to weigh the pot, and when it gets light then water. But how light should the pot be? How should 1 litre of soil weigh when it's dry enough to water again?

Very slow root growth of 14-day old seedling (indoor soil)

I see now! Thanks for sharing your method and your help, quirk! Fortunately, my seedling did not seem affected by the transplant. I got lucky this time, but next time I'll know the right way to do it!

Very slow root growth of 14-day old seedling (indoor soil)

Thanks for the advice, Illicitmango! I will use a grill rack next time I water. I put the pot on a grill rack right now. It makes sense because it's a fabric pot: exposing the bottom of the pot to air will prune the roots at the bottom, I guess.

Very slow root growth of 14-day old seedling (indoor soil)

Many thanks for the advice, quirk! The standing water in the photo was run-off that was slowly seeping out. I had to empty out the tray a few times before it stopped. I have an extractor fan and another fan in the tent to circulate air. What changes should I make to my watering technique? Right...

Very slow root growth of 14-day old seedling (indoor soil)

Indoor grow in soil, LED. The picture above is of a 14-day old plant in a small seedling pot. Looks healthy, right? I water by hand and the pot dries out in less than two days. Judging by the size of the seedling, it should be ready to transplant before it gets root-bound. But when I slid the...

Growing Candy Kush Express by Royal Queen Seeds for the 1st time

Pretty damn good. Energetic half the time, stoned the other half. Smells quite sweet close to harvest, hence the name. The sweet smell disappears after it's been dried and cured, but it still tastes pretty good.

Bud concerns - Is it mold?

I harvested the tops and let the rest of the plant continue maturing. I'm a bit worried that some of the biggest remaining buds are starting to darken. Is it mold, or just slightly purple buds? I don't see any "fur" that suggests a mold infection, that's why I'm confused. The plant has been...

Growing Candy Kush Express by Royal Queen Seeds for the 1st time

Hi, everyone! 1st-time poster, but not a 1st-time grower. I accidentally killed several plants before they even reached harvest. Slowly but surely, I got better. Got a few semi-decent harvests, with yields increasing from a couple of grams to 16g per plant. Right now I'm growing one plant of...
