    Is this fine to use?

Yeah this is the other stuff I got. I have 3 bags of the perlite so I guess I need quite a bit more as there will be 4 plants going into 5 gallon pots.

    Is this fine to use?

Im in south africa and no hydro shops here and nothing you can order online apart from indoor mediums. Sorry man if I understand you right I should not use the compost at all for a base just the topsoil? And 50/50 perlite will be half the pot full perlite? First time growing so I'm a proper noob

    Is this fine to use?

Hi guys. I bought these bags of soil today from a local nursery. I asked him for the best soil that he has without nutes. He suggested these two after I told him what I am growing so I didnt bother reading the bags. Later on at home I noticed the bag on the left said compost and at the bottom...

I am transplanting one bagseed plant tomorrow and I've got three little ones that had it tough in the beginning, but pulled...

    Removing cotyledons?

I water them every 2-3 days. As you can see they are really small for being 16days old. Everybody said they were heat stressed so I reduced the sunlight and nursed them the last 6days. They are in normal seedling soil and I dont use any nutes. Can you tell anything from the pics as to what is...

    Removing cotyledons?

Hi guys. I gave my seedlings way too much sunlight and they got really stunted. I have been giving them only 2 hours of direct sunlight a day for the last 6 days and the rest of the time I nurse them indoors under one 15w cool daylight cfl. They seem to have responded now with some new growth...

    Heat stressed?

Thanx for all the advice! Will have to learn more patience. Wish they can start looking like the bagseed one I planted. Maybe it is more used to our climate than the beans I bought.

    Heat stressed?

Think they look a little better from last week? Maybe I should get them out of the seedling soil or does it take a while for them to recover from heat stress

    Heat stressed?

It's in seedling soil at the moment and i'm not using any nutes. I will go buy some decent soil when I transplant into 5gal pots. We dont get foxfarm here in SA so hopefully I can find something simmilar. I must say the seedling soil have alot of wood chips which I heard isnt great so should...

    Heat stressed?

would this also work? Just have the one 15w cool daylight for all three, using a pasta strainer and some foil to try and reflect more light.
