Those ebay knock-offs are not the same as blumats. The ebay ones water through the ceramic cones, the blumats actually drip from a line and gets released when the soil gets dry.

Not having to flush is one of the benefits of growing in organic, water only soil :-P I just vacuum seal a good portion of my harvest and stuff it in the back of the fridge to save for later. I think the stuff I put in the fridge soonest tastes better then stuff i leave in jars to cure.
