On my 2nd run with a QB LED board, and I am still getting leafs that loose color in between their veins

Hey RIU! I am here to ask about an issue I have had now across 2 grows. Some of the fan leaves start to lighten up between their veins, which appears to (me anyway) be an early sign of CalMag. The issue seems to effect lower growth first. I am growing under a 200w QB LED board, and I have read...

New growth leaves are twisting and curling at the tops

It manifested as nitrogen toxicity eventually. 99% sure it had nothing to do with the lights and more to do with the weekly CalMag feedings boosting nitrogen levels over time. I’m also in FFOF, so that didn’t help. I’ve got my light sitting 14-18in away from most of the main canopy here in the...

My autoflower has been slowly yellowing from the top down for almost the past 10-12 days now

I personally think there is no fixing anything, it’s just going to finish like this. I think the yellowing from whatever deficiency has been compounded by the flowering stage coming to an end soon.

My autoflower has been slowly yellowing from the top down for almost the past 10-12 days now

Hey RIU! I need some opinions on this autoflower of mine. About 10-12 days ago, it started to turn a lighter green at the top, and over the past 10-12 days it has progressed to be a pale yellow and has moved down the plant. I know that top down is an immobile nutrient issue, but I am not sure...

Flushing a plant without a flushing solution

I need to flush a plant to clear out some salt buildup that has resulted in a slight nitrogen toxicity in one of my plants. I’ve read that you should flush with a diluted nutrient solution to help bind and remove salts. Does that sound right? I’m aware there are flushing solutions you can buy...

Plant leaves are turning light green from the top down with purple striped stems

For the life of me can’t figure out what is going on with this autoflower. The plant about 7 days ago was mostly fine. Over the past few days it’s been slowly turning light green/yellow from the top down. I’m running a 200w QB, and thought maybe it was too close. I bumped it up about 2 days...

Leaves near that are closer to the top are turning a light green. Could it be the light?

Yeah temps are all around 79-82f and I’ve got two fans blowing now. I will take your advice on the overfeed and switch to water water feed. Currently I’m doing water feed water. My runoff ppm was higher than usual. Typically when I feed, the next time the plant gets plain water it has a way...

Leaves near that are closer to the top are turning a light green. Could it be the light?

its 200w board, and it’s banging out at 200w. It has a dimmable driver, but I don’t have a dimmer hooked up.

Leaves near that are closer to the top are turning a light green. Could it be the light?

Could really use some advice here. The tops of this plant are starting to fade out to a lighter green and some of the stems have purple lines going up them. This is my first grow and I’m sorta researching and guessing at this stage of my experience and don’t wanna assume the wrong thing. This...

    Question about runoff PPM

Okay great, makes sense. I did feed at 713ppm few days ago, so given what you’ve said, it’s not to much higher taking that into consideration.

    Question about runoff PPM

Thanks for the info. What’s “sky high” in your mind? 1000ppm+ or higher?

    Question about runoff PPM

My runoff PPM today after watering was around 880ppm. This particular plant was fed 4 days ago @ 713ppm. It's been given Fox Farm Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, CalMag and a little bit of Grow Big (less than 25% recommended dose) when being fed. Today I watered with just CalMag, and had a 307ppm and a...

Am I right assuming this is light burn?

I'll take it. I fully expected mistakes! I am learning that there are just some things that I won't know until I've experienced them, no matter what and how much I read. Appreciate the info once again, happy growing man!

Am I right assuming this is light burn?

It's been about 14 hours since I flushed yesterday evening and the plant is already showing signs of improvement. The leaves are loosing that 'dry and crunchy' feeling and are stating to feel softer again. I have also noticed not as many leaf tips turning down. Thanks for the advice from the...

Heard loud and clear. Thanks man!

Am I right assuming this is light burn?

I’m using tap but it’s about 110ppm so I do give CalMag every now and again but about 3ml per gal. I’ll know for the next run, and yeah I think she’ll be okay. I flushed her a bit earlier, and got runoff to about 200ppm. I’ll just leave it at that and give water only for a few weeks. Thank for...

Am I right assuming this is light burn?

Also just to learn a bit more if you don’t mind, what were the indicator(s) that lead you to that diagnosis? The fading on the leaves I didn’t see when googling nutrient burns, so it never came to mind but now I see the dark green and turned down tips that seem to indicate it. I guess I just...

Am I right assuming this is light burn?

cool thanks for the advice. It was due for water so I went ahead and flushed it with a bit more water than usual ph’d to ~6.5. 2 gallons of water vs the usual 1 gallon. I think I got a little over eager and gave it nutrients earlier this week when I should of waited another week or so. I timed...

Am I right assuming this is light burn?

Awesome I’ll run with just water for another week or so to see how it goes.
