If you are using T5's & CFL's to flower I would flip it now, it is gonna get a lot bigger when you do, as for training it is totally up to you. but since it is your first grow I would concentrate on just getting to the end and start training on your 2nd grow

With the T5's there are 6 ballast, each fixture has a 4 bulb and a 2 bulb ballast, they are Phillips digital ballast and they are mounted in the hoods, With the CMH's the ballast were on the floor (raised in case of water) behind the grow space. I will nurture any plant that lives in my garden...

using RO water you should be adding Cal/Mag with every feed/water, RO water has no Cal in it

No, if there was a salt build up the PH would be lower are you using one of those cheap ph soil testers? does your soil have Dolomite Lime mixed in?
