not sideways... you dont need a lot of light to root clones. i used a 13 watt 2k cfl for a whole tray of cuts last time with a 100% success rate. 20 for 20 aint bad.

for two cloning domes side by side? more than enough i think just for rooting. im using 1 15 watt florescent tube right now for one tray. i think 4 bulbs is just right. 8 bulbs would be overkill i think.

im in cali right now with 3 lights running passive inside a 10x10 tent. my temps stay around 85 on hottest days. i think he could pull it off with just the 5k. problem being its going to be running all the time instead of taking breaks in between saving power.
