ok so i found the problem they did send me the wrong fixture i ordered one for cfl but they sent me one for hps/mh (gull wing 8 aluminum reflector)

I should also point out that this problem arose because the seller sent me the wrong fixture. i was also under the impression that cfl's did not need a ballast is this true?

I just go a lighting fixture for my 125w cfl. but ive been having trouble finding a ballast for a 125w cfl light the lowest I've found is one for 150w. the question i have is this is the ballast watt rating the max that it can handle or the only watt light bulb that its made for? the lighting...

Just started my first grow, i decided to grow only one plant just to work out all the kinks, i originally planed to go hydro but ended up growing in soil. im using happy frog potting soil and have one 40 watt cfl and a 14 watt led light i got from a friend. I'll post some photos later to night.

thanks for the info budybong, i know there are a lot of DIY guides out there but can u point me in the direction of a good one, one question because its my first grow i was thinking that having them in separate buckets would decrease the chance of screwing up the whole grow with incorrect nutes...

Ok thats what i was thinking but if i let them veg for that long will my yield be significantly larger than say a month, and to they get harder to take care of the larger they are?

a few of my friends have experience growing (outdoors) so im not to worried I can always refer to them for help, i'm more curious about growing good strains.

one of the fans (would be at the bottom of the tent would be a cheap one the fan at the top is a vary nice multi speed inline.) but from what others are saying ill probably just use the inline up top and maybe a small fan next to the plants if need be.
