Hello, First grow and first real issue.

Buy a 2-bulb shop light (T8 or T12), throw in a couple 6500k bulbs, and save yourself some money on electricity. No way those plants need 1000w at this stage so I wouldn't turn the lamp up. I don't use ocean forest but I hear its hot (has nutrients in it) and can sustain plants for a month...

    Supercropping during budding?

I've done it out of necessity because a branch gets too close to a light or makes my canopy uneven.

    Meeting in Lansing.

They serve local booze at the cafe. Saw a band there and had a couple micro brews a while back.

    NOT GUILTY ...zimmermen

In Florida, once someone puts their hands on you, you are within your rights to shoot them, regardless of whether or not you provoked them. Very far-reaching implications.

House explosion, Butane and 22 search warrants.

The ATF and FBI were involved with these raids: http://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index.ssf/2013/07/law_enforcers_raid_22_business.html That's a little out of the ordinary.

Are These Seedlings Okay? Problem? Urgent!

I find it kinda funny when folks get so concerned over little things. They look like seedlings that just popped (a.k.a. normal/fine). They don't need 600 mh at this time (save money on power). Try a little flouro and a soil-less mix in the future for seedlings. Good luck.

    A Big Waste of Money & Time[MDMA/Molly]

I've done a bit o' "molly" in the metro d area (as canada seems to be a big supplier) and it didn't look much like the OP's photo. It was powdery and brownish but not as brown as h. Tastes gross, snorts worse, and starts a human petting zoo.

Farmers Markets in lansing and detroit!

From Joe Cain in reference to the Lansing market: I witnessed an amazing thing at the market. The spirit of giving just completely took over. The cure was flowing everywhere. People helping people freely. The market got caught up in the spirit of compassion and miracles happened. It is hard to...

Best Practices: Transplant or one container all the way through?

The plant creates a better root structure when transplanting to larger containers throughout the growth cycle. Don't worry about stressing a plant through transplanting. As long as you're not doing it mid-flower you'll be fine.

    Compost Tea Soil! (first post)

I've been amending my soil with used compost from my teas for about a year now. I originally did a side-by-side and got some good results using 1 cup of leftover compost (EWC, seabird guano, bat guano, alfalfa meal) mixed into the bottom of my 5 gal flowering pots. BTW, I hear honey as...

Farmers Markets in lansing and detroit!

I saw this add for the Lansing FM today: http://lansing.craigslist.org/hab/3863326557.html "From the same folks that brought you the Jackson Market so you know it's right." Not quite sure if these are safe to attend at this point. I'm tempted to check it out, though.

Great news to report - Spider mites officially under control!

The only active pesticide listed on that Doktor Doom is pyrethrins, which are organic compounds that come from chrysanthemum flowers. They break down from exposure to light and oxygen. I think if you originally said you used pyrethrin, rather than "doktor doom" there would be less people...

    Seeds

I bought a 10 pack (with 2 free seeds) from http://peakseedsbc.com for $40. All of his 10 packs are $40 and that includes the shipping and tax as well. His gear is highly regarded from those who have run it. I'm still pretty early along but I can tell you all but 1 of the seeds germinated and...

    Cheesequake help got problems

I've grown cheesequake out a few times and my first runs had the same problem as you're having. I tried cal-mag and tweaking my compost tea recipe to no avail. I then set up a side-by-side test with 6 clones. The 3 in the test group received 1 cup leftover guanos/compost from my AACT added to...

    4271 in play.

I've read the bill more than once and I'm not seeing where it's passage will allow for commercial grows by provision centers or make them the only source of medical marijuana for procurement. I support the bill and have communicated this to my local state representative.

Is My Tea good for Veg and Flower

That's a good base recipe for increasing microbial activity and micro nutrients in your soil but it's lacking in macro nutrients (N-P-K). You may already have these in your soil or your're using a different nutrient regimen for that. If not though, I would look into adding guanos or meals to...

    72 Hrs of darkness pre-harvest & moulting

I cut and hang with all the leaves on. Even when the root system is detached from the plant, there are still many processes being carried out in the leaves, stems, and buds until the cell walls dry up and those processes can no longer happen. So, in a sense, I'm getting a response similar to...
