They didn't use scales back then. Instead one finger equals a quarter. So you put a bag next to your finger and fill it up til it's even with your finger. So four fingers is an ounce. Fill up the bag like ~2" or so.

In the hills of India you could watch the fields grow wild with it, but there's not much of a market for it there. :-)

Looks like light bleaching to me. You said you went from a 400W MH to a 1000W HPS; did you increase the distance from light to canopy drastically after you did that?
