Thanks for your reply ST. No, I'm not using any nutes yet and once the seed germinated it was put it under a small LED light inside a shot glass to keep the humidity but once it shed the seed casing it was transplanted into the DWC. If the light is too much at that level should I raise it?

Well, tried starting the first bean via DWC this weekend, came home to disappointment today :-/ The bean was transplanted on Saturday morning into the DWC; room temp was 77, the RH was around 47, the PH at 5.8 and the 400W (MH bulb) was about 2 1/2 feet above it running for 24 hours to help it...

I've seen people post that they cover their rockwool with foil after placing it in their DWC. Is this necessary? Would it be better to use the hydroton or foil to cover it? Thanks!
