Here's a question. I'd like actual experience over educated guesses... Can CO2 be injected into the water of a hydro system instead of simply releasing the gas into the air? Basically, you would keep the roots rich in CO2 in their confined space? Here's a link that may explain this more...

Those pics were taken yesterday. They are 4 weeks from seed today, germinated in the aero. Except for the baby, all are in the 6-9 inch range... ...and I still haven't moved them into the cabinet setup with hps. They seem to be just showing sex now and its looking like the skunkiest one is...

My roots were brown...then red. I realized I had too much rust in my water. Now I'm filtering the water before I put it in (using a brita thing).. Plant looks good. Know what kind it is??

Ok, I started using the foxfarm nutes on Friday. The things have grown incredibly since then. I am going to have to raise the hood again (i also decided to hold up on moving to the HPS in order to increase my choices for clones). As for smell...mine are starting to smell now. Rather, ONE...

Considering the growth rate of the aero vs soil, id say soil is a better choice for the mother. You want her to live long, grow slow, and stay in a veg state. Why waste the power of the aero on that? Use it to do clones in less time. It's not the mother we be smokin after all...

What about putting em in soil until you had a system. Then wash the roots and transplant from the soil when you're ready.

Vande. You can do that, but you might not want that plant. Since clones are exact duplicates of the mother, those clones won't be yielding you much. Better to take you're best plant and make her the mother. That's only based on the crap I read...I don't know nuffin' Made sense to me though

PS. The light was only 150...shipped. I'm putting them under it today. I'll adjust the hood then. I need to run to homedepot and get me the duct work and fan. It'll be way too hot in there for the plants. I will most likely take cuttings today to make clones. I have that set, temps have...

Of course, if you wanted stealth, it'd be much better to bring in bags of soil once and not over and over. No need to draw unwanted attention. :)
