Ok so i want to buy a single flourescent lamp for the first 4 weeks of my lowryder cycle mainly because they're cheaper to run and I want to start them off in my bedroom, but anyway, you can buy all of these self ballasting ecolight bulbs but im wondering, i've got the bulb... but what the fuck...

think you're slightly overreacting, it's got all the ballest and that built in, so all you've got to do really is plug it in and pay your electric bill, making sure your room doesnt get too hot which was one of my concerns when i got my 400HPS
