1st pic looks like a male, despite being stunted they look good for the most part. The curling of the leaves is cause by heat stress, add another fan and raise the light a bit if you haven't already. Just let em be and you should be fine.

Don't give into urban tales on that dark period shiz, (or any of them imo) its not going to induce flowering any quicker, just stress em and possibly get em to herm imo. But if your heart is set on trying it out i'd change your light schedule from 24/0 to 20/4 to 18/6 to 16/8 then 24 hour period...

12/12 is all you need to do, why are you giving it a 24 hr dark period? Thats just gonna stress em out
