Oh I forgot to brag ...see I got 1 that's 10" tall 17"in. wide the main stem is half an inch

that lst stuff is a small waste of time to me.......I just pinch them at the nodes all the ends of branches and the top and you will have a much more stronger plant to hold more bud.this also allows more nutrients to get to the top as well as the branches having a bigger stem to hold more...

start with hydroguard

no dont cut the top........just pinch the top node ,....take finger and thumb and squeeze it til you feel it give then watch for 4 days the bottom branches will grow out and come to the top of the plant after that you can pinch every node even the branches allowing time between,...like 4 days...

get some sphagnum peat moss and put in the soil around them and water well should keep em going til you return in a month under the cover of darkness to water again
