Can stress cause newer leaves to be a lighter green?

hey it wasnt exactly a week, but for anyone else who experiences this problem, my girls are happy again and coming in full bloom =). i gave them a day of 14/10 light/dark (as opposed to 18/6 i used throughout vegging) and i think it helped lower the stress really well. I repotted them since this...

Feel Free to Call me Stupid!

actually you can bake with stems, leaves, buds, pollen sacks, pretty much anything except the roots. Im talking like pounds of plant matter to cups of oil though. I wasn't that far off before a few humid days fucked me over. I agree that when baking with small mounts of plant matter, it would be...

Feel Free to Call me Stupid!

just please answer the question first ;) heres the problem, i had been collecting all the plant matter (ie, non buds) from my grows in a glass jar. I had a pretty decent amount of stems and fan leaves that I was going to cook with, but now after coming home from a vacation the bottom of the...

    1st Grow - 1 Plant - Tips Please :/

i would suggest that 10" is a bit small for a plant almost 20 inches tall.. your giving its roots only 5" to grow in each direction... I have my plants in 5 gallon pots, they're more than twice that size.. but hey, it kept growing, and if you're topping it you probably don't care if it gets...

    Green layer on soil. Problem?

I agree, but unfortunately the things you listed as essential to algae growth (moisture, nutrients, light) are also essential to plant growth! taking one away will kill the algae, but will kill your plants too, maybe even at the same rate Spray the plant with the diluted hydrogen peroxide, the...

    Green layer on soil. Problem?

this is indicative of over watering... scoop off the soil with a spoon (gentle!) and replace with either washed sand, or the same soil you've been using. won't kill the plan unless you don't take care of it... theres actually another thread with pictures, check this out and see if it looks...

Can stress cause newer leaves to be a lighter green?

Thanks Cruzer! I don't consider myself an expert by anymeans, so it's good to hear someone else say it ... my nutes are high in nitrogen, so if we discount that then I think your theory sounds really good... just for kicks I'll let y'all know what happened in a week. fingers crossed:eyesmoke:

Can stress cause newer leaves to be a lighter green?

hmmm a couple views but no posts? did I answer my own question then? is the lighter color a stress reaction? the only reasons I asked are I was under the impression a plant wouldn't grow while extremely stressed --> my plants growing the plant isn't drooping ---> probably not moisture stress...

New grower here and I've got a green layer on my soil =/ [+pics]

I feel you man, I live in this fight-club-esque house, and the carpets are LADEN with mold it seems. what happened to me is I used to let my water stand for 24-36 hours before using it to let the nutes dissolve more, and let any contaminants settle. I guess a spore must've landed in it then...

New grower here and I've got a green layer on my soil =/ [+pics]

Also, i Had the dreaded moisture gnats too when I had the mold issue. Sort of indicative of over watering, as they won't take to dry soil as happily. how often do you water, and how much? if you put a cup of cider or beer in there with the plants, the gnats will fly into it and drown (mwa ha ha...

New grower here and I've got a green layer on my soil =/ [+pics]

hey man, I had an issue with one of my plants earlier where they developed some sort of mold on the top layer of their soil. My advice would be scoop out the questionable material with a spoon, take about 1/8"-1/4" of soil off, and even possibly replace it. If a mold spore gets into whatever you...
