pls help! my 1st diy LED COB

Nice link for EU heatsinks! See if you can find the formula for calculating surface area. Supra posted it in one of his comments, GL finding it. lol :) Its somewhat simple though, would just like to know how many cm2 youre getting out of that! Good luck :) As for your questions, Im not the...

Q and hopefully A about my new led light

I have been onto your thread, dont expect that I invented this combo myself. hehe, your light along with Bruce's, despite him using 3000k, is one of those that convinced me to go bigger. Originally I was only in for four cxb3070s :), which still seems appealingly cheap. hehe

Q and hopefully A about my new led light

I was looking into the heatsink deal for a long time, considering passive, or semi-passive (which should never have been a word, passive or active, lol) cooling. But locally the heatsinks are extremely expensive, and heatsinkusa is too expensive to send to South America, especially with...

Q and hopefully A about my new led light

Im not too much into the specs either, but I think they are supposed to emit 182lm/w when driven at 1.4A, which I really find attractive. Ive got to keep studying this as well! Regarding the housing, I dont want to trap any air, so I will just find some long 90 degrees aluminium panels onto...

Q and hopefully A about my new led light

Thank you! Im probably going with some wagos as well, seems really easy and I shouldn be needing that many of them. Im about to get my head around the wiring part right now, Id like to have it all premeditated, so I dont end up with a huge mess, which I wont feel at ease with being turned on...

Q and hopefully A about my new led light

Hello, Just before placing my order with Jerry, do you all think this looks correct? 12 @ CXB3590 3500K CD BIN 3 @ MW-185h-c1400 A or B ? 12 @ Ideal holders 3 @ APV-12-12 (to power 4 fans each) Now, this has to travel a long way to get to me, and it is already getting somewhat expensive...

By this, "I won't be going back to hps judging by the length of time it took to trim.", do you mean because you didnt have to deal with any popcorn buds, that they all passed the bar? Sounds great, looking forward for some pictures of the dry stuff :) THanks!

Bruce, do you plan on posting a somewhat elaborate conclusion after getting your dry weight? I think it would be really sweet to have your final thoughts on your build, setup, results, etc.. Thanks for sharing :)

The arctic silver thermal adhesive would be just fine for this? Since Im doing it on pc heatsinks, I can just move those around, wouldnt have to remove the COB again. The fact that it is not at all moveable, makes me feel more at ease ! :) I think Im ending up completely copying this setup...

Help me build a large CXA3070 Rig

I hope it works well. The APVs are very cheap, and Jerry sells them. I asked yesterday. He sells them at 4,5 USD. Seems like an easy solution and a good price for a meanwell product :)! Have a nice day everyone

Help me build a large CXA3070 Rig

awesome, thanks :) I trust a MW driver more than a cell phone charger :) I dont want to cut any corners or be cheap on any parts besides prefering the cxb3070 over the cxb3590. The savings are buying the fans'heatsink combo. :) quite nice.

Help me build a large CXA3070 Rig

But how many fans will that be good for? I need to power four fans x three. 12 total, divided on three different bars. I just want it to be easy and neat.

Help me build a large CXA3070 Rig

What did you end up with for powering four fans? I need to do the exact same thing, just to power some different fans, but same same, it would seem. Please do let me know, this is my main concern for the time being. Thanks :)

    cxb3070 3000k AD 800w draw 4x4 tent

nice, and do you do anything to control RH, or is it just naturally low where you are? I just had to throw out some more buds today becuase of mold :( I dont know many things to make me feel bad, the way mold does :( I need to step up my game and perhaps buy an A/C. Thanks for sharing. Your...

CXB3070 AD bin vs CXB3590 CB bin

I thought your post to be quite nicely organized and coherent, but then again, Im not the best reader. hehe. Sounds like a hell of a light setup you got, do you keep a journal or occasionaly shoot some bud shots? You seem to be around the sort of PPF Im looking for, surely would be nice if...

    DIY COB safety/fire issues

So by not addressing the eventuality of a fire directly, does that mean, that the likelihood of that ever happening is ~0 % ? My stuff for my first DIY should be on its way, and this is my only worry. If I fry a COB, so be it, doesnt matter much, but I should hate to worry about a possible...

Harvest Pictures Grown Under 2 Cxa3070's

did you use a microscope to see if they were ready? I think I see quite a few white, erect pistils. Nice, though! Hope for a smoke report! :=)

I, on the other hand, never flush. Cant see why, the stuff is stored in the leaves and I think youd have to seriously overfeed them for nutes to be stored in what we smoke, the buuuuds. Then again, I do hempy buckets and feel they finish out the best and most handsomely when fed throughout the...

Do you normally have your leaves looking like that at this point in your groom, or is that something new you have to dial into?
