Treating water for outdoor plants, too much iron

Well i plan on growing a good portion of my food as well as some giant pumpkins and herbs. Would the green sand work to amend my soil? Do you know how much i need per cubic foot of dirt? My dirt is quite red so i imagine it is probably where the iron in my well water is coming from.

Treating water for outdoor plants, too much iron

Damn good answers. I have a water softner already, but i would like to have the best and most eco-friendly organic solution to my problem. Is there one that you would prefer over others? The one thing is we don't have a settling tank which i think is needed to do some of these treatments. It...

Treating water for outdoor plants, too much iron

My landlord has told me that we have 400ppm iron in our water and it could kill some of my plants. Is a water softener all i need? Is there some sort of treatment to get the iron out?

Big bushes indoors vs. sea of green

Well this is just what i was hearing. I haven't done it yet. Currently in possesion of a 400W HPS and soon upgrading to 1K. I would be happy with two 8Oz. plants. How long would the veg be roughly. M Blaze: Thats damn good weight. How big are your containers and how much lighting do you...

Big bushes indoors vs. sea of green

In order to keep with in my legal limits i might be trying to do 4 indoor plants in my budding room and 4 in my veg room and 4 rooting. A partner of mine is all about sea of green but we recently met someone who told us they were getting 1lb. per each indoor plant and harvesting every 60 days...

Gravity and purple Maxx by humboldt countys own.

I didn't get any color change unfortunately. But then again i was only growing one strain with purple characteristics. But on the positive side I have been told the most color change was due to foliar feeding. This i didn't do. I am was too concerned about mold to foliar feed. However the...

Raining hard, should i wait for mold, or pull them all now?

No never been a fan of killing big solar collectors. I have heard the rumors but i like my big buds to be really big and my small buds to do the best they can. Just a matter of opinion i guess. Good advice with the H202. I like it. I left two at one spot and 4 at another so i may have to...

Raining hard, should i wait for mold, or pull them all now?

Yep. Good idea. H202 is best. When it evaporates you are left with H20. What could be more natural. I actually pulled most of them last night. I left behind my most sativa looking plants. I figure they should be used to the humidity because of their origin. I had lost a few big tops...

Raining hard, should i wait for mold, or pull them all now?

I was wondering if I should wait and see which ones will withstand the mold and then again i have to consider how much i might loose waiting. It is coming down pretty hard over here in Santa Cruz, CA. Maybe i should just yank them all. Three are done but could gain weight and I know two of...

Curing with the big stems attached, Yes or No?

Curing. The stems i cut about 4-6" in length to fit in my jar. This allows me to fill the jar but keep air gaps between the buds while doing so. My only concern is that these long stems are slowing down my curing process. My buds are good to smoke but the stems are still bendy without any...

    true or false?

No problem. This year i am going for weight so i am waiting to see some amber trichromes. I might pull one early but i normally pull all of the early. I am curious to see a difference this year. My hairs are already completely red and darkening daily, i think it is almost time. I still...
