    Auto flower help

Yeah it could be. You really need a pH and EC meter. Spend as much as you can. Critical bit of kit. But those lower single leafs always go yellow and drop off, rest of the plant doesnt look too bad.

PH unknown - dude that's not going to do you any favours. Even the cheap ebay yellow $5 pH pens are better than nothing.

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Well, she is still alive but not looking great. I'll get something to smoke but not expecting amazing quality. The constantly rising ppm tells me shes not feeding, even now she is down at 340~ (tap water 180) so shes hardly getting anything, but still it goes up. Ph has been easier to control i...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Thanks. Ummmm to be honest, ive never really paid any attention to that. I use whatever scale my Milwaukee pen has as its default. If i measure my rez as 600 one day and 500 the next then i assume my ppm has dropped. And vice versa. As long as im not taking different readings with different pens...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Well shes hanging in there. Ive really tried to take on board what ive been told here and not to overfeed so ppm has been very low about 420 ish. But theres new signs of deficiency which again looks like Ca to me so ive bumped her up to about 480ppm with pure CalMag. Consisdering my water is...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

The damage got much worse yesterday :( its so frustrating when plants get sick! I gave her a big shot of CalMag cos it looked like a Ca deficiency which brought ppm up to 660 but after 12 hours that hadnt changed so i reduced it to 580. Noticed all the fan leave tips are looking a bit burned so...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Weird things going on in bucket. After switching to bloom butes, pH shot up from 6 to 7, ppm dropped from 520 to 330 in 24 hours which is a huge drop. Also noticed spme rusty spots on the very top leaves. Possibly from the pH too high, i dunno. But it looks more like a Ca issue than a Mg issue...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Ca 2.4% Mg 2%. You think im better off using the epsom salts rather than CalMag?

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Ok cheers man, the Canna Aqua is 4-4-11 with 2% Mg according to the datasheets. Is that enough?

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Switched over to bloom nutes today gave her 520ppm. I think the shot of epsom salts did her some good and shes looking OK, a bit gangly for my liking but Im a sativa guy so thats par for the course i guess.

So you think i need a chiller?

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Hmmm. Interesting. Over the last 24 hours no change to ppm, 570...not sure if thats a good or a bad thing?

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

From 500 she only dropped to 470 overnight but the rez level dropped a lot. I topped her up with water and added some epsom salts which brought me to about 530 but then made a bit of a mess getting the pH right and needed a lot of ph up/down so it ended up about 570. But the tip burn hasnt got...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Yes in an ideal world id have a chiller, not disputing that. But i dont have the cash for one,and i dont have the skills to salvage one from a freezer. I used to have a cheap aquarium thermometer to measure the rez temps but ive managed ok without it. At peak summer like i said yes my rez get...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Ok fair enough, but if you do check with multiple devices, and they dont agree what then? I had a RH issue one summer. I had a reading on my dehumidifier, a digital hygrometer and an analogue hygrometer. All different. Which one was i supposed to believe? After multiple purchases I have a pH...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

@Onextremebuzz appreciate the input man, yes of course having a stable rez temp will help, but if i understand you correctly youre saying the water temp affects pH, but my pH is stable which ultimately is all that matters. Ive probably done 7/8 dwc grows now, obviously my set up/skills arent...

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Ok thanks. I grow autos, Im running my lights 24/7, as do many auto growers. So there is no fluctuation in water temps. But might be time to change that to 20/4 or 18/6.

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Sorry mate. Well that's what makes me think it's not a water temp issue, pH stable, 5.7 - 6.3. And when I use my ppm pen it gives temps, 18-20°c.

    Nitrogen toxicity - lockout

Not sure about that, but ive done dwc in summer when the rez temps get really high so i know how that feels, i think the water temp is ok. Ok great yeah i was thinking something similar. So after topping her up with water yesterday shes now at 500ppm (my water is about 170) should i lower it...
