Help! Spider mites at 7 1/2 weeks, harvest now or wait it out?

I'm going to try killing them off with my C02 tank first, then releasing some ladybugs.

bugs late in flowering, what can I use?

I'm scared of chemicals so I've got two things to try. First I cranked my CO2 tank way up till I could hear it hissing real well and sealed up the tent with the fans off. I'm going back in 15 minutes to turn it off, then I'll do it in a few days once the eggs have hatched. Hopefully this nukes...

    Fresca Sol water cooled lights

hello. The fresca sol is awesome. I would think that with a chiller you would be able use less than 30 gallons even. Also, remember you could use multiple containers for your cooling water. Since I started using the heater core from a truck with a decent fan blowing on it the temps in my 4x4...

Help! Spider mites at 7 1/2 weeks, harvest now or wait it out?

all of the leaves are browning at the tips really bad. I figured this was because I had burned the with nutes and having the light a little too close earlier in the cycle. What are the signs of an infestation?

Help! Spider mites at 7 1/2 weeks, harvest now or wait it out?

Ok, this sucks. I've got spider mites on my plants at 7 1/2 weeks of flowering. I take it there isn't really any product that is going to be 100% safe to use at this point. The buds are almost all orange hairs now, but no orange trichs yet. How much damage are these critters going to do to my...

bugs late in flowering, what can I use?

I've got some small bugs on my plants that I noticed last night. I'm going to get some tonight and look at them with my scope so I can identify, but I'm wondering what I can fight them with as late as 7-8 weeks into flowering. My buds have mostly orange hairs but I'm still waiting for amber...

A mother that has already flowered

I have what's left of a small plant that was flowered outdoors after being used as a mother in the spring. I saved the very base of the plant with some sun leaves and small buds still attached. I'd live to put it back under t5s and use it as a mother again. Is this a bad idea? What are the...

    The big grow scheme

you want LOTS of sun. basically sun = bud. Get out there right now and scout out a spot that gets full sun all day this late in the year. If you can get 10 hours of direct sun all year round at least you only need a few plants. This is how people can get the 5+ pounds per plant harvests.

Fox Farms vs Local Soil Yard

I got soil from local soil yard by the pickup load this year that went into the ground. I also had two plants in containers, one with soil from the yard and one with Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Both were on the same nutrients and watering cycle. Today I dumped them out and found *NO* worms in the FF...

    Power Inverters

This exact scenario exists today in a UPS (uninteruptable power supply) available for your computer today. And yes, they cost a small % of power to use. The only scenario I can think of that this would save money would be if you had a power meter that measured when you used your power and you...

How to reduce humidity in my tent?

I want to reduce the humidity in my grow tent. Currently my controller cycles frequently to suck out the humidity which quickly goes back up. This is wasting my CO2 that i inject. I'm thinking about doing some sort of panda film over the top of my tray/pot. Possibly cutting a hole for each pot...

    Fresca Sol water cooled lights

I'm about 1/2 way through my first indoor grow with a 1000w HPS in a Fresca Sol fixture. I love the fixture and I love how cool it runs. Has anyone else used one of these? My local shop is willing to sell me their old fresca sol floor model for a GOOD price and I can't decide if I should buy it...

How much do you harvest from each plant?

Forgot to add that if you listen to advanced nutrients's ad copy for connoisseur you can get between 2-3lbs per light

How much do you harvest from each plant?

Northern california people regularly get 4-5, and I've heard of 7lbs per plant outdoors. That was someone who is a professional though, it's all they do all day. 15-20ft plants aren't unusual. I didn't get anywhere near that this year. My 2 plants growing under my prescription look like they...

    First grow - what else can I do? Watercooled/Hydrohut/AN Connoisseur/Coir + Perlite

I've got a small medical grow in my basement. I've got 9 grape romulan clones growing under a friend and my prescriptions. We are allowed 6 each so i figure 9 is a good number. This is our first grow so we are trying to get everything dialed in still. Any suggestions or anything that we have...

Growing Without Mains Elec.. Generator or watt??

In humboldt county in northern california there are plenty of HUGE grows running on generators. Their biggest problem is pollution from spilled fuel. I don't know how they do it but I'm sure with a little googleing you could figure it out. Look into a Lister diesel engine. They have been the...

    CO2 in a hydrohut

The centurion controller is awesome. So much nicer than the thermostat. I have the following set: Day Max temp Night Max temp Day Max Humidity Night Max Humidity temp deadzone settings (how far down to cool it once you hit the max temp) And it automatically kills the CO2 when the fans...

Hurricane is killing me no power

eh, they will be fine for a few days at least. Might shock them a little but I also agree with the other poster that if you aren't going to get power for quite a while you should put them outside. It's 12/12 pretty much everywhere in the country at this point right? Only problem will be keeping...

    CO2 in a hydrohut

Ok, couldn't find a humidistat in town so I broke down and brought a controller. I got a used centurion EVC-2 from a guy who works at the hydro shop for $200. I'm going to hook it up tonight and see how it works.

    CO2 in a hydrohut

Ok, I went to the parts shop yesterday and found that the cheapest heater core I could find was for a 1980-1990 F150. $30. I put it inline with the water flow on my water cooled light and put a little clip on fan blowing on it. My hydro hut didn't get above 82 degrees all night, but the...
