You mean like the ones they use in car garages? Those are halogen, and I read that plant growth sucks with halogens due to their spectre even though they are cheap.

Right now there is no solution in the bucket. Just some condensation from the runoff. I was waiting for the roots to poke through before filling up the bucket and starting the bubbles. And now the roots are brownish and slimy at their tips.

Is it not too late? Will it recover? Like I said, if I touch brownish root tips right now, they turn into jelly on my fingers. I read that damping off is impossible to stop once it starts, no?

Does it have to be oscillating? If a fan blows on a sprout constantly, in one direction--is it bad?

Forgot to mention (although, it’s probably self-evident): I was going to do DWC. Right now the sprouts are inside peat plugs submerged in clay pebbles inside 6-inch baskets.

I don’t have soil. I was going to do indoor DWC (bubble bucket) because I was afraid of bug infestation: I read that soil is very often infected with pest eggs and is a major vector of disease transmission. I am growing indoor, and I didn’t want to deal with bugs.

Do the plugs need to be soaking wet? I was afraid to overwater them because I read it was a common beginner mistake that impaired root growth. How do I tell if they are sufficiently wet or if they are overwatered?
