    moldy seeds?

in the process of planting the sprouted seeds, i noticed one of the taproots had a very small amount of what appeared to be white fuzz on it. mold? anyway, i promptly removed the (maybe) moldy seeds and put them in a separate tupperware container to germ, just in case if that was a small...

    moldy seeds?

thanks, but i think this is different the ones that have put out taproots didn't look like this before the taproots came out, i'm quite sure looking at it in better light, the line is more of a green than a white...

    moldy seeds?

not a thin white line coming OUT of the seed (i have 7 that have put out taproots already), but around the edge of the seed... it hasn't cracked open, merely turned a white color in a line around the edge edit: looking closer it's almost a green-ish white

    moldy seeds?

I'm germinating some seeds via the paper towel method, and about 7 of them have popped. A couple that haven't popped yet look like they have a thin white line going around the edge. Is this mold? I fan in air at least twice a day, usually every 8 hours if possible. If it IS mold, should I remove...

*Can they take your house?? If Caught??

THE SPECTRE OF FORFEITURE, by "Ben There" (Access Unlimited, 1990). The government can take all your property with very little effort. They can do it without ever prosecuting you for, much less proving you guilty of any crime, without giving you the right to confront your accuser...

    helicopters

luckily my state is one of the five lowest in terms of marijuana grow ops busted annually, and i've never heard helicopters flying around out here. just curious about the capabilities of police helicopters and whether they're used solely for large ops or spot and respond to small ones as well...

    helicopters

okay, but a large portion of the big busts i've heard about were because someone phoned into the police, anonymous tips or dumb mistakes really... just curious, i see people talking about helicopters but of the busts i've read, that is very rarely what leads to it

    helicopters

what's the risk of a small-time, subsistence grow getting caught by helicopter patrols? i hear about large busts being made by helicopter, do they use it to spot small patches as well?

    Tips for planting in July?

growing in florida, you can start in july without having to worry about a shortened grow period. that said, pretty much anything will work, but indicas are great outdoor plants and most are fast growers. if you must have something tailor-made for a quick grow, check out one of the Lowryder...

using garbage bags to force outdoor 12/12

depends on the plant and the natural light cycles most plants, late enough in the year (end of summer), should stay flowering once forced for a couple weeks

soil without nutrients, add ferts right away?

I bought a soil that has no natural NPK in it. I know with most potting soils, you're supposed to wait 2-3 weeks before adding ferts. Can I add the 18-18-20 ferts I have to the soil the first time I water it?

    Questions about 12/12

not true outdoors, since the daylight is naturally growing shorter every day after the solstice, plants will flower automatically near the end of summer. that being said, if you force a 12/12 for a week or two early, and it's after the summer solstice, you can stop forcing without stressing the...

using garbage bags to force outdoor 12/12

let's say i want to force outdoor plants to enter the flowering stage with a 12/12 light cycle- what's the easiest way to do that outside? i've heard you can use triple-layer black garbage bags over the plants for 12 hours every day for a week or two to achieve this, but i'm worried about...

in a pot or straight in the ground?

starting them inside isn't an option. i'm thinking i'll start them in some grow trays outside, put a little chicken wire around the grow trays, then when they get a few inches put them from the grow trays into the ground. thoughts?
