Is it better to use 2 of spider farms SF1000 or 1 of the SF2000 with coverage being equal.

Just found this video and it's absolutely worth a watch. Know what to look for to be able to make an educated purchase. And yes, we absolutely encourage you to compare and view our lamps in the same way :-)

Is it better to use 2 of spider farms SF1000 or 1 of the SF2000 with coverage being equal.

I think penetration is a fuzzy word, much like "full-spectrum" has been and still is. What is it that we're really trying to say or figure out? If you want light to reach all leaves on your plant, light penetrating deep into a thick and bushy canopy (in gaps between leaves, canopy penetration)...

Is it better to use 2 of spider farms SF1000 or 1 of the SF2000 with coverage being equal.

Generally, the smaller the diode, the more efficient it is. Larger isn't better. A 0.5w diode ran at half power is more efficient than the typical 10w diode, ran at half power.

Is it better to use 2 of spider farms SF1000 or 1 of the SF2000 with coverage being equal.

Looking at the lamps and comparing them, The SF1000 is listed at 100 watts draw on Amazon. The SF2000 is listed at 200 watts draw on Amazon. To keep it simple, we're pretending that the drivers are 100% efficient and that every watt reaches the LEDs. The SF1000 looks to have 13 x 16 white...

    CFL or LED bulbs???

Our LEDTonic Q2 would probably do very very well in that space :-) LED wins bigtime over CFL, watt for watt.

How dry can I let my plants in veg for gnats?

BTI bacteria works very well too. Mosquito bits and Dunks are two popular products that contain BTI and work great. I use Bits myself every now and then with good results. Bits are recommended for indoors. Dunks are recommended for ponds outdoors, but work just the same. The bits are supposed to...

MW XLG-240-H-AB with only one QB?

Your driver should have a built-in potentiometer where you can adjust the current with a small screwdriver. https://www.meanwell-web.com/content/files/pdfs/productPdfs/MW/XLG-240/XLG-240.pdf Look for a black rubber lid on the backside of the driver. Remove it and you'll find the adjustable...

Will a 35 watt led lamp be good for sproutlings, and what height?

If the lamp is hanging at 6" (15cm) height in a 2x2' (60x60cm) reflective space, it will produce 680 PPFD in the very middle and around 70 PPFD in the corners. If we raise it up to 12" (30cm) height, it will now produce 270 PPFD in the middle and 125 PPFD in the outer edges. The shape of the...

    Lights

Cheap household bulbs are often built without an isolated driver. Basically, the low voltage side isn't properly and safely separated from the high voltage side and physically touching the low voltage side can with a bit of bad luck be the same thing as touching the high voltage side. Here's a...

Will a 35 watt led lamp be good for sproutlings, and what height?

It depends on what lamp you have and how it is shaped. It's more or less impossible to give accurate advice without this information. The best option for you, if you have a real grow light that is intended for plants, is to look for a PPFD map (light intensity map). It should be found on the...

    Lights

You can get a rough idea by looking at the lumen rating and calculate lumens per watt. Household bulbs are often around 100 lm/w. HLG says their 100w model draws 95w and spits out 14000+ lm. That's around 150 lm/w. The spectrums created by the phosphors are probably not identical but it should...
