Al Dente, how big is your grow? I only have 3 plants going and plan to use their crop for personal medical consumption.

I have also decided to turn the heater on in the room keeping it at a nice temp between 70 and 75 and with the door closed to the room it stays pretty nice in here now. I bought some Bamboo stakes to tie them up to so they don't fall over so hopefully that takes care of the weight of bud issue...

oh and my LED's have 225 bulbs each and they are quad spectrum (red, blue, orange and white) $37.00 each on eBay.

Just for the heck of it (and for comparison to the first set) here are pics I took 2 days ago. I would say LED works and the proof is in the pics. ;) Full plant pics and the such next week.

after this harvest i plan on going to HPS & aeroponics. I bought something called the Flame defender, I hope to never have to test and see if it works but it claims it will put fires out if they start. Its more or less an extinguisher that hangs in the grow area, if the temps top 155 it goes off...

just added a second LED light. The plants are looking good. 3 females. We went in to 12/12 cycle last week. I will post new pics in a week or so.

yeah ... I am running an LED. I am set to pick a second one up today. When I bump over to Aeroponics I am going to go HPS.

nice. I am going to try my hand at cloning soon with one of them. How long do you veg? I'm also moving to aeroponic, I bought a setup a long time ago and only used it once and couldn't finish the crop for reasons heh.

haha ... I gave my wife shit about naming my plants but I roll with it (she names everything... she named some lobsters while they were in the sink at the house ... right before they were getting dropped in HOT water to cook, I knew that would end bad). Anyway I got off the topic Twister Bean...

also ... they were on 24 hour light for 3 weeks then 18/6 for 1 month and now 12/12 for 1 week, I plan to leave them here for 50 to 70 days. My question is SHOULD they be taller? 2 are about 12 inches and the biggest is about 18 to 20.

By the hairs I am thinking girls but maybe its too early to tell (they have been in flowering stage for 1 week about). There is one that has a few little hairs and its the tallest (really grew up faster then the others) but not near as many hairs as the other 2 so im not sure. Chime in and let...

Okay so lower the light? I was thinking that last night when I took the pic. The LED does not get hot but it does get luke warm so with these colder temps we have been having maybe closer is better for a lil bit of heat to? Anyone else know? Also the cost of running was not an issue as much as...

What is a T5 setup and what is the issue with LED? I am trying to keep the energy bill down a bit but not such a big issue, more or less wanted lower start up costs. Not looking for huge crops, just more or less doing this for fun and self medicating.
