Why do people dislike deer? Here's why..

Yes, string fences with ribbons or plastic bags detour deer to a point. Deer do not like to stick their heads through "barriers" to feed, for whatever reason. The movement of the plastic strips just makes them too uncomfortable to feed. Deer, while quite tasty, lack reasoning ability. I had...

    Controlling for animals eating

Liquid Fence..... it's not cheap but it works like nobody's business. If you have a weak stomach then I suggest you wear a charcoal filter mask. It smells to the human nose for several hours until it dries, after that it is only distinguised by deer/rabbits/rodents. It is made of putrified eggs...

Why do people dislike deer? Here's why..

I grow outdoors and am always looking for and trying out new ways to protect my crops. During peak garden season I tried Liquid Fence brand pest repellant on my garden and was extremely impressed with its performance. In case you've never heard of it, it is a spray-on liquid that is primarily...

    Scouting for '10

That's what I do! Three plants here, two plants there, one plant over there..... 50-75 yards is as close as I get them to each other. I had a pleasant surprise this season with a single plant that was off by itself. It did really well and I yielded more off of it than two plants that I had in...

Do the piggies even bother with flyovers in some areas?

Spread 'em out. You put that many plants in one cluster or field of vision and they'll spot it from a mile up, and just like terrorizer said..... cover that ground up underneath them and I'll add to plant them around other plants that are shaped/colored similar from above. I do have a little bit...

    Scouting for '10

I'm in the exact same dilema, bro. I've written off the state park/hiking areas long ago and am leaning towards nearby undeveloped commercial property and leased hunting land.

    **unkown sativa strain** harvest?

I wish that you knew what strain that was..... I love the height and build of that plant!

    advice

Obviously everything is perfect and you have it under control. I would leave it out there until January..... then, when the whole plant turns purple and it starts to fall over, pull it up and throw it in the compost bin.

    cold georgia nights

Yeah, we have. The summer rains were great here this year but these late rains have been like "natures flush" for us, lol. I harvested last week though so I don't have to panic like those who aren't quite done. Never, ever did I think that a quick flowering strain would ever be an advantage to...

Growing with veggies, anything to cover the smell?

Different strains have different odor characteristics. I've never grown Northern Lights but from what I understand it has low odor, but there are also others. Also, something else to consider, the height of your plant. Choose a strain that will stay the same height as the plants that you plan to...

    Growing in ATL

Yeah, man... that's bagseed bud, and I'd give my left nut to know what strain it is because I've never experienced a hybrid sativa to stay so low and spread out yet yield like these plants did. And the smell and smoothness? Unreal...... I will admit that this is the first year that I've ever...

    Growing in ATL

Through soil and climate, ATL area is a great place to grow outdoors IF you have the spot. Georgia is NOT the place to get caught growing..... or, as it is called in the law books "cultivating". It is a serious felony rap whether you get caught with one little plant or 100 big ones..... same...

    Harvesting KUSH!!!

Oh, man... Looks just like a little Kushie plant that I had this year as well. It looked like a palm tree, lol. Great smoke, btw!

do i cut or pull the plant out of the ground? I'm stuck!!

I've been wondering about that. I don't recall anybody ever really talking about it but it makes sense. I'm going to try that....

    Check out my outdoor Sativa!

Absolutely gorgeous plant and buds! (Cleavage is nice too, btw, lucky S.O.B.!). I'm glad that I kept tabs on your thread. I'm convinced more than ever of what I will be doing next year, so Thanks! Sativa? Hell yes!

    Hermie Options....

Thanks folks! That's good news in my book! No seeds at this point either. Do I need to cut the balls of for drying or curing? Do they smoke?
