my light did not come on this morning i had the hps bulb in so i change to the mh and it works.. my ballast is a sunleaves 1000w with a switch on front to go mh or hps.... so i got a new hps bulb and it don't work i think its broke on the hps side like an igniter or something but i know nothing...

in pic 2 i posted in first post, the real small one in front,was a 6 inch by 4 inch wide bud at the end with a tiny stem it was funny lookin..and the two right behind it came out real nice they were in organic soil and ended up the best tasting ...if you did not look at the pics in my second...

the one's that got some size before they started budding did not do as-well but i did not put these on 12/12 i took them and put them on my back porch i had about 20 and 5 started budding fast those 5 were 10-15 grams each and trimmed up easier then the rest. the one's i did in soil are just now...

the hole is 2 inches from the bottom...the perlite does not hold water but the bottom 2 inches stay wet and you can water them every day or every week just don't let them go dry...

they just look too light and fluffy still i took all the better ones down so i'll see if the others come around in a week or 2..

i just looked them over good today no bud rot but some look like they need 3 more weeks still but its getting cold and rainy with no good sun left,what should i do?

i've been looking around and its called force flowering ..you take a clone and 12/12 it as soon as its well rooted..i think i'm going to try to do 20 of these under my eye hortilux 1000w super hps maybe even 30 i'll see how they fit..it will be just the 2l bottles full of perlite and fresh...

i just got the first 3 of the good looking 1 ft plants i have 5 but 2 need another week..the 3 dry and trimmed in a jar was 40 grams im very happy with that..

these are train wreak from my mother and i planted them and did not do much more i have never given them nutes but i did spray them with organicide, i got it from home depot its a pesticide it smells like fish oil .i spayed them a couple times with it earlier in the summer...i was getting snails...

i have never given them any nutes there out in the woods i just look at them from time to time but i see a few with the purple and other with out it and they came from the same mother it is high 50's at night i think..

these are clones from my plants and they have never had any purple before, i planted 10 plants in 2 locations, and 1 spot there looking like this and the other spot looks normal. thanks for any help..

i spent a quarter on supplies and looks like 10-15 grams or so each one :) i like this way better...

i think a 3 gal plant in perlite is about the size a 5 gal of soil would be.those last pics are older plants not sure how old but they have always been in 100% perlite.there about 4ft tall the stems are about as thick as a broom stick but they still need the poles to hold them up..i tried doing...

it would be easy to set up an auto feed but the perlite is so light your bucket needs a wide bottom so they don't fall over and they will need help to hold up the weight i get the marker post from lowes for like $1 each the roots in perlite just can't hole up a big plant.but a 3 gallon bucket...

i leave them out side and it 's not that dark out most nights lots of stars and moon light..

i painted some and left some clear ..i can see the green stuff in the clear ones but they grow just the same i would not waste a bunch of tape but maybe one piece of duct tape around the bottom would be fast and easy and block most of the light.

the key is soil-less if i mix the soil with heavy perlite its not the same.and the water can't drain from the bottom it needs to be an inch or 2 up so some water stays in just like a hempy bucket..i'll go get you a pic of my 3 gallon hempy's in a few...

i have done both it really depends on your set up and what you want to do? if you have plenty of room and time do soil let your plants get older and use 5 gallon buckets..if your room is small and you want to do small plant as fast and best you can go with perlite..you can do a 2 ft plant in 2...

that' a nice plant 420god but you can't do that in a 5 gallon bucket under a light...the rule of thumb is a great grower can get a gram per watt so 2000watts is 4.5 pounds max..
