are you a new grower? if so go the easy way and do a hempy bucket its kind of both but very cheap and very easy , if this is your first grow the yield will be better too, ,i did soil and its pretty hard to get real good at it and it requires a lot more effort and its hard to fix if you mess up.

they don't need light until after they sprout from the soil and have a leave.i normally put seeds into peat pucks until they look healthy then put them into a hempy buckets its a lot easier then growing in soil.plus it allows for a smaller bucket with a bigger yield.

normally you need a week into flowering to tell but some times they show during veg. but they would be like 2 months old. before you start your next grow pm me i'll teach you the hempy bucket way...easier cheaper bigger harvest..

how many plants you have?you need more light and get the the right color temp for veg you want 5000 to 6500k for flower you want 2700 to 3000k . there are many people that grow with florescence or cfl's but you need a few per plant.you want about 3000 lumens per square foot. i grow in perlite...

i would keep the hps on them.if you have a mh light you can add it if you want

plant them into perlite,if its going into a party cup put a pencil sized hole about an inch from the bottom and just water it when ever you want just don't let the bottom inch get dry.

i don't even bother to rinse it off i just pour it in the bucket and water it,and put the clone or seedling in.

how long have you been growing in soil? are the plants dieing because the soil ph is too low? how tall and old is the plant?

i have the cheapest one i could find on ebay its yellow and came with calibration fluid , it works great i've never had a problem with it and it has never been out of calibration yet and i check it every month.this is the one i have...

what is the ph of your water? at least you won't have to worry about mites.

from now on grow in perlite like i do..this is called a hempy bucket its a lot easier than a soil grow.and its very cheap .

first off what are you growing them in? i put 12,, 3 gallon hempy buckets under my 1000w hps i stagger them and every other one goes up on blocks so the light gets to the bottom better. if you want help just pm me with what you have and your plan..i can get you a pound from that light.
