I need a soil recipe...I'm trying to spread out my Fox Farm Ocean Forest

coco coir is cheap and holds and amazing amount of water, i add a few inches of Styrofoam peanuts to the bottom for better drainage. Whatever you do don't use peatmoss, it shrinks when it dries and can lead to additional root stress. Coir can get bone dry and doesn't pull away from the sides...

    grow ferts during flowering?

thats not helping your situation. I didn't thin out some of my basil this year, so i just left 3 plants in the same pot, and transplanted the rest. The ones that were removed from pots early (before even close to root bound) and planted in the garden did fantastic. The ones that were left 3 to...

    Noob need help with nutes

I know for a fact that Foxfarm, when used as recommended by the feeding chart (foxfarms.com), yields decent results. Granted you could get better yields with other nutes, but your margin for error decreases substantially. Throw in some Nitronex and SuperThrive in the mix and they'll love it...

how to make full dense buds?

lots of light and Co2. If you run co2 at 1500 ppm, and blast the light to em' your going to have some pretty bulging rock solid tomatoes. However if your nutes, strain, and room conditions are not on point, adding Co2 and more light is just going to cause you more problems. co2 also increases...

    Painting near plants?

I'm building a permenant home for my garden, right next to the shady "panda plastic on a frame" structure its living in now. The new room needs to be painted, but the passive air intake in right next to where we will be painting. There are not any windows, just a door to blow the fumes...

What nutrient line should I try next?

I've been using the General Hydro line of organic nutes, "General Organics" Bio line. I use soil, and their full regimen along with Ecovie, Dark energy, Thrive Alive, Hi-Brix molasses, and Nitronex foliar spray. My buddy has had a few nutrient deficiencies, starting with nitrogen then maybe a...
