I only watered once during germination and it was only 75 degrees today in SoCal

If you look at the bottom of the seedling though they are shriveled up only at the bottom. I thought that was only from fungus not the sun?

So I lost my first batch all due to damping off so I ordered more seeds and the same exact thing happend, I only watered them once to germinate and that's it, I put them outside and boom this happens 2 hours later. And I used brand new soil and containers this time.

I was using Dr Earth Organic Potting Mix and the bag had no holes or flies, it's okay soil just a little woody, I don't really pay attention to Temps but I'm in SoCal so it's about 65-75 right now, and I used miracle grow last time had a couple burned seedling because too much nutrients so I...

Oh wow that's impressive, I just dissected mine to see how the roots looked but next time I might try that!

I added some perlite to try and soak up some of the access water, but yeah they do seem a bit stretched but I don't want to rot the bottom of the stems with wet soil

So if I pull the seeds out of the soil right now it won't mess up the germination?

Yeah I've heard of all those soils, just very expensive. Do you think I should take the seeds out and wash out the cups or would I just disturb the germination process? I put new soil in and watered the seeds then covered in plastic 30min ago.

I'm using Dr Earth organic potting mix, it was a $12 bag because last time I used a premium mix it burned my seedlings and stunted them, but I tossed the soil with the dead seedling and put in fresh soil. Do you think it will be okay to re-use the same cup? I didn't wash it out or anything.

Yeah I pulled the goner out and put a new seed in there already, the same soil shouldn't effect the new seed would it?

Yeah I spray water on them everyday and I watered pretty good before I left, maybe I overwatered? In the middle of the sprout it's all shriveled up

Hey guys so far this has happend to 2 of my seedlings out of 10, this happend over the span of 3 hours it looked fine right before I left, watered them came back and looked like this. Any Ideas?
