my gut feeling is no, but then again im still about to start my first grow but just to let you know i plan on using 2x24w bulbs, even if the 14w bulb sprouts the plant it wouldn't be enough to sustain it throughout the seedling and veg stage so your going to have to switch anyway might as well...

may i ask why you decided to go for 12/12 from the start, im about to start my first grow and contemplating a short veg or 12/12 from start my grow area is 30 inches tall so if i do veg ill prob only veg to a max height of 10 inches in case the plant triples when i switch to 12/12
