I'm an electrician, and what you are trying to do will work fine. You'll be putting in either a 2 pole 20 amp breaker or a 2 pole 30, depending on how big the unit is, but the instructions will say what it needs. Just make sure you use the appropriate wire size for the breaker you install.

a 600w ballast draws 600 watts. So any ballast you get will be around that number. Not sure on any of these as far as heat goes, but running at 240 instead of 120 won't affect anything except your current draw. I'm an electrician, and just going off what I know from parking lot lighting, etc...

I think your girls look very nice. I used t5's, and my girls are doing extremely well. plus the heat advantage is wonderful. If you are every wondering if you need more light pick up a lumen meter. I got this one off amazon and it definitely helps with making sure all the girls get enough light...

uhhhhh... less is more man. Also every time my dog pees in the yard it leaves a yellow spot so..... low strength, ease into it. I'm not a fan of the miracle grow route, but I've never tried it, I've only read bad things about it, so I really have no idea on that.

Ya man, let those things dry out a little, the leaves look a little yellowed, and def. get some perlite. That will help you from drowning them. I know it's hard to not over water, but just leave them alone for a few days. When i transplanted mine i did about 30% perlite, kept things nicey nice.

OK 2-4 weeks would put me at the 8-10 I was originally told. I'm using t5's. It's a 16 light array that I built myself. Why do you ask?
