    Ventilation and co2

I have gotten great results in aeroponic without co2, and have never needed it. But, if I was going to do it, I wouldn't vent the room, only the lights. intake->lights->outtake. if it gets to warm you can use a small ac unit, and you also have to use a air filter - air doesn't get "stale"...

    Raising Humidity??

A humidifier works fine as long as you are not venting more then needed. You can get them pretty cheap at home depot, ebay etc.

    Hps vs Mh Lighting

If I could only get one, I would get HPS since that is what you want to flower with, and that is really why you are doing all this in the first place. You can try using it for the veg to, but they might stretch a lot, even compared to the CF. Using MH for veg, and going back to CF for flower...

I need help with ducting connection

They have them at home depot - called "starting somthing", but they are not round - you have to bend them and click them together - one side of the coupling is solid, and the other has "fingers". Can't miss them in the ducting section. I have the same filter.

    Ph/PPM in aeroponic

I think I got it... I figured what the hell, and (meant) to bring my ph down to 5.7 last night. I must have put a little to much in, and when I got up this morning it was 5.5, and a lot of the leaves have uncurled. The ones that haven't are softer then they were, so I guess aeroponic ph should...

    Venting and Cooling

Not sure how hard it would be to do now, and if you have the cash, but instead of running a bunch more ducts, you should get a new light fixture - one that you can duct. That way all your cfm power is concentrated directly on your heat source, your ac won't work nearly as much, and the top of...

    question for the experts

Not much heat with cfl's, unless it will be really close to the plant. I have never grown on a small scale like that - with cfl's all the way through, and a tight space, it suspect the end result will not be worth the effort being out into it (probably a very small harvest), but maybe some...

    Hps vs Mh Lighting

MH for veg, HPS for flowering. Get a good quality bulb with a broader spectrum - a good quality HPS will have more blue spectrum then a cheap one, which is closer to real sunlight.

    water temperature?

none of the heaters will hurt the tub. if you are having problems with water temp changing a lot, check petmountain.com for good deals on water chillers. Even the cheap ones have plug in control of heater elements. They will cool when needed, heat when needed, and keep your res at the perfect...

    Hard Water Solutions

I also should have asked - what is your PPM out of the faucet? I actually got a softener way before I ever decided growing because of the hard water (I'm on a well). I bought a good softener from culligan, and actually rent the rust filter from them (always rent the rust filter, never buy...

    Hard Water Solutions

A water softener will help, and usually brings the PPM down somewhat too. I soften my water, and then run it through an ro+di filter. By softening it first, the filters last longer because it is filtering salt and potassium, rather then a lot of hard minerals. If it is really hard water like...

    Ph/PPM in aeroponic

Hello, I am a first time grower, using an aerojet 4x4. My veg phase went good, but I am having some issues during my third week of 12/12 cycle. I have looked at numerous guides, but get different numbers for PH and PPM, and just wondering if anyone here has been actually using aeroponics and...
